Just wondering, personally recently started my first year at sixth form and so far I hate it. I am considering dropping out as I'm not passionate about the subjects I have taken and I don't see myself going into any of the fields when I'm older. Does anyone here do an apprenticeship, I'm considering applying for one for a certain trade, electrician, plumber etc.

What do you do?

I personally disliked sixth form and I'm now college which is far more laid back in my opinion and it's going pretty good for me. I've got my predicted grades for January which aren't that bad and now all I can do is study hard and hope for the best. I'm planning to hopefully study history at university.

I'm not too sure about apprenticeships, I've heard that they're good. You should do a lot of research on the internet and probably talk to your head of sixth form or tutor and get some advice from them. :)

Student, I ski but it doesn't pay much (like £10 if you win a race...£100 if you win the season). And I'm thinking of applying for a job at some point.

Student. I did freelancing photography for awhile, but I just barely managed to recoup the cost of the camera.

I'm also a barista, but my hours have been cut so bad lately that I'm not even sure I'm still on the payroll. :(

Studying at 6th form. Gonna' send out some letters for work shadowing in the near future then hopefully find some sort of job later on. Homework and studying takes up the majority of my time these days. AS Levels are no easy task, I'm anxious about Year 13! :P

Josh said i was trumping my job up... so I'll stick to sales staff but my contract/name is 'sales consultant' as it's a sales job and not retail.

University Undergraduate Student :).

Apprenticeships can be a good route to go down and I know a lot of people who've dropped out of Sixth Form after their first year to do one. Its just a matter of finding what you want to do, and trying to get into it. It can be difficult to get into them. My dad handles applicants every year for the apprenticeships his job offers, and he gets like 2/300+ applications for like 15 places :S.
