Ok so some people have come to me saying they're confused about what I've said so this is to clear it up:
I have a heart & lung condition (I won't go into detail) but that makes me tired pretty quickly. Hence why I have a wheelchair. But I'm not in the wheelchair all the time - I barely use it tbh.
I'm allowed to do sports if I want to (Skiing ect.) and I can dance around or w/e but I get tired quicker than everyone else and if I get really tired - that's when I use my wheelchair - but I normally stop before that anyway.
K thats my story.
Bye :)

do you get tired while walking around, like clothe shopping etc?
Conservative,

Yeah. Simple things like that tire me - especially long distance/uphill.

Wow that is definately a mouthful :P.
Atrial Ventricular Septal Defect with Pulmonary Hypertension
I've got a friend with Pulmonary Hypertension. He was going to have an operation for it, but it would've affected his life in a way that he didn't want, so he decided to go against it.
How long has it been since you were diagnosed, and how severe is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Diagnosed 12 years ago (when I was 2) and it's mild. Some people with it are wheelchair bound and can't do every day things such as walk upstairs, go to school, play sports. I can do most of those things - just sometimes I'm slower or it takes me longer than others :)

Any major difficulties you face in school or any public place?
Conservative,
30-11-2010, 02:36 PM
School - I don't have lessons on top floor (there's ground, 1st & 2nd)...and I don't do P.E. anymore, but when I did I took a wheelchair to the pitches and wasn't allowed to do rugby.
Public - Not really unless I have to walk a long distance eg; shopping - but that's why I have the disabled badge :)

So you can't do anything about it to hinder the tiredness like some sort of cure?

Nope.
If I only had one of the two conditions I could potentially have an operation to have it fixed..but I have both and Fixing one will make the other worse, and at the moment there is no way to fix both :l
i didn't even know you were in a chair but it's cool for you telling us :-)!
sorry for the little bump but props for this

but i have a question; do you feel tired as in going to sleep tired or achy tired? how do you feel when you've done too much work?

Yeah because skiing uses gravity to get you down the slope, it doesn't take effort at all.

Achy tired normally if I've run around too much. And when I've done too much my lips go blue and I just feel like I really need to sit/lie down and sleep - not because I'm sleepy tired but to rest.

i've skiied since i was like 5 and it is not an easy sport
if you're walking in your boots alone they're heavy and its tough, carrying your skis...

I've been skiing since I was 6 and I race regionally...it's not hard once you get good...my mum is a ski instructor so she taught me and made sure I didn't get tired.
I'm used to walking in my boots and my skis are light weight slalom skis so yh :)

Didn't you already do that once or was that someone else
Robbie I don't get how your mum can forbid you from doing a normal workout for fear of your heart exploding out of your kneecaps but encourages you to indulge in a high-speed sport at hugely varying pressures and altitudes, something seems a little off with that. Do you have really hefty life insurance or something?

Dunno about the life insurance, but I do skiing at the dry slope, which is like...20m above sea level, and then when we go on skiing holidays we don't go above 2000m...I know it's stupid she doesn't let me work out but skiing doesn't involve pushing heavy weights and straining my heart...or so she says ;l
