NASA Sets News Conference on Astrobiology Discovery; Science Journal Has Embargoed Details Until 2 p.m. EST On Dec. 2
WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe.
The news conference will be held at the NASA Headquarters auditorium at 300 E St. SW, in Washington. It will be broadcast live on NASA Television and streamed on the agency's website at http://www.nasa.gov.
Really can't wait to hear this. When will Dec2nd 2pm EST be in GMT? And what day?

This will be on Thursday 2nd December at 7pm GMT. Eastern time zone is 5 hours behind us :)

I think I've watched too many sci-fi movies because the first thing that sprung to mind was "its a trap!". Sounds intriguing what they have either discovered or worked out :)

Maybe they found people for their mars trip.

Interesting, my first thoughts were "oh, they've discovered a crash landed alien space craft in America, the only country aliens ever seem to visit" :P
It'll be interesting to see what they've discovered.

Certainly a positive announcement but I'm sure everyone else is with me here in that aliens aren't interesting when they're just bacteria life, it's all about life-size aliens we can actually interact with etc. It gives us hope at least.
