Well it wont be that hard as i got 10 snowflakes now from finishing the new quest, which awarded me 5 plus 1 for moving up to the next badge so it gave me 6 altogether for the quest

I think its a good idea, if we're going to assume we get 5 snowflakes a day, plus a few bonuses, it'll take half the month before we can use it, but then the 7 days should be over before the advent event ends so you'll be able to get half a month if you save your snowflakes wisely!
The other stuff all seems pretty useless to me, so I'll definately be getting the VIP trial!
