View Full Version : [Film] Monsters
I saw a bit on this new film called "Monsters" and it looked pretty amazing.
Is anyone planning on seeing this? I think it's out some time this month.
The main reason I'm interested in seeing this film is to see how good a film can actually be if you only use 1 camera!
Yes 1 camera!
This entire film was shot in 3 countries using the same 1 camera and 2 actors.
So I'm pretty excited for its release, but perhaps I'm the only one... D:
Yer i saw the thing on some program this morning (probably This Morning). There was no script and just 2 actors. Like 5 people altogether working on the film including the actors or something around that. They went around and if it looked like a good place they just asked if they want to act in it and they did :P And how if there were some signs around then they photoshopped them later into like Infected Zone where before it was a hamburger menu. Very cool.
Might see it!

Supposedly, it's a romantic film, has that element to it.

I saw it back in August and then chatted to the director afterwards. It is NOT a monster movie, they're purely the backdrop for a romantic drama, but it really is a fantastic accomplishment. There was no script, just a rough outline of scenes, a £25,000 budget and a real life couple taking the lead.

It looks nothing like Cloverfield. All that movie was was a weak Godzilla rip-off shot verite.

sounds boring to be fair, hate romantic films

How did you swing that? Seeing it in August, I mean.
I saw an interview with the director and he seemed like just a regular run of the mill guy!

Press pass at a film festival. Hung out with him at a bar after.
