The BOBBA Breakdown

We're making some small changes to the word filter next week.
Just a quick heads up to let you know about a small update taking place on Monday. We noticed that a lot of Habbos no longer use the BOBBA filter inside the Hotel so we'll be changing the way filtered words appear as of next week.
Currently you see the word "BOBBA" when someone says something inappropriate, however this will be switched to "*****". This change will prevent confusing any new Habbos that come to the Hotel. Made up words tend to be confusing, right?
- Fozzie, Smoothcriminal and Puffin - keeping BOBBA forever in our hearts.

This actually sucks. They've drawn the last bit out life out of 'old habbo'.

They are removing older features, but they are giving us new features that personally I love such as Wired Furniture.

I agree. They're getting rid of a lot of the things which made "Habbo" - years of work from other people. But I suppose change is a good thing and they know what they're doing. Wired furni is brilliant.

As much as I want the memories of old habbo to stay, let's be honest here, how many of us use the filter?
This will only affect me when I accidently type numbers that are more than 5 digits long, which isn't often.

Business wise, it is smarter as it is pretty much universal for swearing to be in the stars (asteriks or something). Although I now have a hole in my heart. LOL jk I rarely play since the beginning of them using flash, as it lagged me before I got a new PC so I just lost my addiction.

Just think back three or four years ago before you could turn the filter off, Bobba was a big part of Habbo. Since the option to turn the filter off came into play, I hardly seen the word "Bobba" used in the client unless noobs used it. It was a legendary word back in the day but now that can go into the hall of fame and let the new things come to life. It's Bobba but it will do! :)

Well not really, a person just hears of Habbo, they log on. They see the word bobba and they get confused. Confusion leads to frustrationa and they leave. The only other way to remove confusion is to promote the word "bobba" so everyone knows about it, but that takes effort which they cant be arsed to give anymore.

Thing is, this seems like a bad decision for them.

They have summet called Bobba Bar for mobile devices (never played it) but now they are removing Bobba from Habbo itself, it kinda makes the Bobba Bar release name useless :S as it has nothing to do with Habbo anymore. Unless they are renaming it ***** Bar LOL you never know....

I've not been on it, but even if it is a fail they should remove/rename it if they are removing Bobba from Habbo itself. As the name Bobba Bar may apparently (according to Habbo now) confuse new users. LOL

Hmm, I suspect they're changing it for their staff, not new users. As we all know, the current Habbo staff are as thick as pig poo, so they no doubt get confused when the word Bobba comes up. Bless 'em. Hopefully Habbo will be thrown into the dark ages, it's such a dreadful company.

They should turn that into statistic and suggest modern day teenagers have difficulties with common sense and problem solving. The article seems to be focusing on "new users", which is proof that suggests that current/original users mean very little to them, which we all know all too well with problems lately with how they treat their current and past users.
