just ew.

it's similar to the wall-to-wall feature.

Thread moved by Dean (Trialist Forum Moderator): from "Discuss Anything", as I feel it is more suited here.

I actually really it, espeically the bit at the top where it has your personal information. Although I'm not too sure whether I like the tagged pictures being visable like that straight away.

actually after fiddling with it I do like it :)
i've just changed my 5 photos on my profile to the ones i like best..
i like how everything about you is just splattered on the page.

The top bit is quite scary tbh, it just lists all the important details at the top. (Birthday, Hometown, School, Workplace etc).

I quite like it however, the profiles seem a bit too spacious though. New profile fields such as Sports are well over due. The new 'Classes' feature doesn't work too well though.

I'm not too sure on whether i like it or not yet... but i'm sure i'll get used to it and like it eventually

I notice with almost every facebook update every one moans, then grows to actually like it overtime. I can't remember how many of my friends moaned so bad when facebook got its last new layout, now they love it.

Just as you get used to one update, they change it again.

I like it although it can be seen as a bit stalkerish, seeing as it now states where you studied, went to school, work, where you're from etc right at the top. Plus it basically showcases your whole family, friends etc on the left and points out "Mother" and your tagged photos.

Yeah I will admit, It looks a hell lot cleaner.
But the sound it makes when you get a message VIA chat pisses the hell out of me.

The Facebook chat message sounds like one of the very first MSN Messenger sounds?

It's horrible! Just looks ugly and confusing to me.

The current layout is nice and clean. :(

Yes, well once again Bookface Facebook and its crew have decided to add a new update to the system.
Today's annoying update is; The New Profile Update.
So to round it up, Facebook has enabled user's to join the new profile look which includes the same features, though a different display unit.

Once you have enabled the new feature everything on your page is so BIG! Everything has thumbnails and more information, and to be honest it annoys the crap out of me.

I'm thinking of emailing Facebook's customer support and asking them to make an event called, Another annoying Facebook Update. Seeing they have been releasing new things every hour of the day.

Post your feedback :D

it's annoying how mad everyone goes about these updates.
especially this one though, because it's optional.
if you don't like it, don't use it - it's easy.

Cleaner? Sorry but they've taken in my opinion a simple layout and just made it more confusing.

I haven't fully tried it but I'm not keen on the look and most people I've spoken to feel the same way.

I've also read complaints how you can't organise information e.g. favourite sports/football teams etc. is above hobbies - and its stuck like that.

Everyone uses facebook for different reasons and it would be handy if they allowed us to customise it.

This is why MySpace died a horrible death.

It seems to be okay for me. For some reason Facebook have decided to bring back the "how do you know this person?" feature, but with grouped friends.

I'm not too fussed about the update... it seems ok to me

This is why MySpace died a horrible death.

I don't mean custom as in custom code - i just mean it would be handy for people to decide what is shown first - e.g. what you class as more important.

MySpace in my opinion died for 2 reasons:
(1) It allowed custom code/content which led to extremely messy profile pages - something Facebook suffered from in its early days.
(2) Facebook - facebook came and everyone used it - so why use something dead.

Facebook really killed MySpace but its still used for music today
