Sorry for the silly question. Thing is, I used to make shops for fun before coins took over as the main item for trading. But it's rather ridiculous to set up a shop only to get offers for a low amount of coins when I could just get better on the marketplace. And trading is the most fun way to get some new pretties. So might as well ask if people actually use trade shops at all, or if it would be fruitless to try making one. Thanks ahead of time, guys.

I think people usually look for cheap deals in bulk shops and then sell it off at MP.
If they really did wanted the furni real badly to the point at paying the full price, they could just search up the MP for the furni.

When I wish to sell furniture, I use my rooms and advertise it using the events. I don't mind if they sell off more in the marketplace, the marketplace is just a waste of time anyway in my view. You sell it much quicker in your own room rather than in the marketplace, and I don't mind if I sell cheap as long as it's sold/i have the credits needed.

The biggest mistake of all habbos who own creds shops and stock up then sell again making perhaps 2-3cred maximum on the sell.

WHEREAS shops that only take furni for furni (such as my trade room) make alot more profit as people have furni that they dont want, or do not know the full value of. I traded a ray gun for dizziti just yesterday, thats more profit than i would make if i traded for credits.

So yes i think if ur willing to put that little bit of extra effort in then its worth it. I suggest wiring it so it has a message when people come to telling them furni for furni only.

shops will never be what they used to be like... only reason why i'd make a rare shop
- wanted to sell instantly
- fun
- want furni+creds for my items

however, habbo have tried to re-introduce this slightly with the 'habbo mall' but most of you know it was an unsuccesful event/competition, habbo should make it where you can place furni in your shop go offline and put a price tag on it and when somone goes in it they can double click it and there's an option for 'buy' and 'cancel' with the price the user is selling at, this would re-introduce trade shops and users would enjoy habbo more... just an idea.

Yeh but theres 1 flaw in that idea, When no-one is in the room you have to manually search for the room? So you would never come across it unless someone knew it was in there and knew what to search

Possibly if theres a furni search where you type something like "Throne" and it lists rooms with thrones in which are for sale, Highly unlikely though they have the brains of a 6 year old :p

i think i might put that idea forward to habbo aswell as my previous ideas i submitted to habbo, it would be helpfullll as you could leave an overnight event or away from room one of what your selling and those keywords you could search and those tshops come in, also they'd have to make a 'shop' categoryy

My idea would be for people to actually leave offers on the items you are selling on the marketplace. say if u had a smoke machine in there, somone could offer like 20creds for it and it sends a message to the person who is selling that they have an offer, and then the person can accept or decline

Well, if you put say a petal patch on marketplace, u would put it on and u would put a price you would like but there would also be an option for poeple to offer and then the offer goes in a message ect ect.
E.G. I would put a petal patch on for 22creds 'buy it now' price. but somone sent me an offer for 20cred for it, i would get a notification telling me about the offer and whether ill accept the offer or decline it

i know they don't generally but you can submit a ticket on https://help.habbo.com/ and you can submit as a business query and tell them how it will help them financially wise ect =]

---------- Post added 07-12-2010 at 07:42 PM ----------

just a big brainstorm just now.. how it would help habbo...
- make it so only VIP can only make these room categories and rights to do this, but anyone can buy.. meaning people who want to buy VIP have to buy habbo credits boosting their sales.
- also they could add a feature where you have to buy a trading pass where you have the rights to do this like VIP and it allows them too do that meaning people will want to do it as they could add badges for amount of days/months with the trade pass, or amount of sales they done aswell as buying VIP .. creating a boost in sales for sulake as they'd have to buy habbo credits making the habbo more organised ect.
