I'm wondering what people do on Christmas Day. Do you sleep in, in the morning or go to a church service, or open presents straight away on Christmas Day and do normal things after that?

Get up, open presents, have breakfast, chill for a little bit, go to relatives house, wait for everyone to arrive, open more presents, chill for a little bit more, have dinner, chill some more, go home and reminisce the day gone by.

Usually we'd just wake up earlier, go down stairs, and all open gifts from eachother. Immediate family only on Christmas day, and then the rest of our family on my father's side spend Christmas eve together. Sometimes my grandfather on my mother's side would drive down to spend Christmas day with us (he's quite far away - 8 hours) but since he's gotten married last year I don't think that's happening this year.

I used to wake up really early but nower days it's like, "bleahrhhfg wake me back up at 10." When I finally get up me and my sister go upstairs into the loft and sit on my parents bed where we take it in turns opening presents (family tradition, you know how it is). After that my mom starts to cook the christmas dinner and my dad hogs the TV all day. I'll usually play on the PS3 with any new games I've got until people come round. Once everyones round we usually just chill in the living room and socialise/watch christmas specials on TV. When the christmas dinner is done everyone sits at the dining table, eats and opens christmas crackers (except me as I'm usually forced to sit with my younger cousins etc 'cause there isn't enough room on the table).
That's how it usually goes down anyway.
Wake up, chill and do whatever. Then go to my nan's house usually where we wait for other relatives, then its just a blur of food, exchanging of presents and board games.

Wake up fairly early and then wake my mum and my brother up who tell me to go back to bed :( So I go downstairs with my dog and watch some TV for a bit and then pester them a bit more to get up.
When they eventually get up my mother insists we have to have breakfast before/whilst opening the presents and we'll put something christmassy on the TV.
We'll open the presents and then mess around with stuff for a bit, take them upstairs and then start getting ready to go to my nanas for Christmas dinner.
Get to my nanas and wait for the rest of the family then we'll all sit and have a meal whilst opening little table gifts for eachother. My cousins normally bring something fun to play with so we'll do that or play some board games around the table.

Normally get forced out of bed far earlier than I want, go open presents in my parents bed room. They go downstairs and clear up a bit ready for my two sisters to come round, dad goes and picks one up and then it's just Christmas Dinner and then having a laugh until it gets late and then we go to bed (all seperate ones before someone comments on my County of origin ;)).
We definately make sure to not miss the Christmas Dr Who special too :D.

Used to wake up at like 5/6am and have to wait until 7 to get my parents up :L last year I slept till nearly 9 though...
We get our stockings and open them in our parents room, then go downstairs and have breakfast (an unfortunate necessity..). Then after a lot of complaining and about an hour taken to prepare & eat a cooked breakfast we sit round the tree and open 1 present at a time (yes it's very tedious)...
Then once all the presents are opened we go have a huge Christmas roast and then we're allowed to do what we want until the Christmas specials (eg; Doctor Who) and then we all sit around and watch that :)
Usually my brother wakes me up about 7am and we open our stockings, bout 8am everyone's downstairs (my family seem to wake up mega early anyway), open a few presents, have breakfast, open the rest, sort the xmas dinner, go to the pub, come back and eat xmas dinner then most of the time everyone just falls asleep watching christmas films :P.

Wake up, see what's in the stocking, get the Christmas roast going. Open presents, go to pick Gran up, bring her back to our house for Christmas dinner. Then this year we'll be going to my Mum's Cousin's for a light evening meal where some more family will be :)
have a lovely breakfast that comes round every year so nice
It depends whose house I'm at really.
If I'm at my Mum's, which I won't be this year, my little brother, 13 now, will still be up at some ridiculous time, usually around the 6am mark and will wake everyone up. My older brother would've gone and got completely smashed the night before but somehow, the Christmas spirit manages to drag him out of bed, after probably only having 3 hours sleep. We all head downstairs to open presents and exchange formalities, "Thank you, I love it..." is my favourite. After that's done, my older brother will go back to bed, I'll usually head back upstairs for some Playstation or a bit of TV, and my younger brother will stay downstairs with all his new stuff! My mum will usually rest for a bit before making a start on Christmas dinner, which is usually ready for about 2pm. After that, it's just any old day for us really, with a few drinks and then the next day we'll be back at eachother's throats!
At my Dad's it's a little different, in the sense that he doesn't allow us to get up until at least 9 o'clock, which I'm fine with! This year may be a bit different with two babies there, but we'll see! The same present exchanging routine occurs, although I usually just get money from my Dad, so it's a lot quicker! Then the main difference between my Mum's and my Dad's Christmas is that all of my Dad's girlfriend's family, who, let's just say aren't of a decent upbringing, all decide to come and cramp into my Dad's house, make and eat Christmas dinner, and try and make me wash up (which every year has failed.) I'll have usually migrated upstairs to play a bit of playstation again, before coming downstairs to say bye etc!
So yeah, no church, no leaving the house at all really, just a nice big jam ;D

Because I'm far away from my relatives this year (except mum & dad), it's a bit different to past years, for me.
I'd get up at about 6amish, and go on the computer in my room, until my Mum and Dad finally get up (around 9ish/10ish). We then go to the Christmas Tree and open the presents and put something on the TV to listen to. When we're feeling up to it, we have breakfast, I normally don't :P I usually just play around with the presents that I got (and I've got some weird ones in the past..) and mum goes and makes lunch. Whenever it's ready, we go and eat, and either drift off to sleep, play with what we've got or watch TV until we're tired to go to bed.

Wake up about 7/8 because my brother normally wakes me up, open presents, listen to christmas songs on the TV while setting up the stuff I got, then go on HxF (yeah, call me sad although it's just like any other day), go up nans (although I'm not sure this year), have dinner, watch Eastenders Christmas episode then just go back on HxF or something. :)
Wake up about 5ish (so i have sufficient time to wake up to look surprised at all the stuff i get) go down bout half past, open the mass of presents my mum said that she said last year she wouldnt get me, set the presents up (console or pc, this year a projector) and do that, then have dinner when its done, and play with my presents more then its over

On Christmas day I usually get up and go downstairs and wait until the rest of my family arrives. When the rest of my family arrives at our house and after we get all ready to open presents and stuff then we take pictures and then finally get to unwrapping. Most of the time I am the first one to unwrap my presents since I am usually the only kid at my house (I don't have any brothers or sisters). When we are all done opening presents we visit each other until it is late enough to eat. My dad usually cooks the meal but this time I think my grandpa is, and when the foods done we eat!
That's what we usually do.

well i dunno really what christmas is gonna be like this year, cause my parents got divorced earlier in the year and my mom now lives with her new partner, so i'm not really sure what dad's doing. we've discussed it and probably my xmas this will be a bit poignant and emotional, but we'll have to get on with it.
we used to go to my nan's when i was little, but now she usually comes over. but again dunno if that's happening cause she's my mom's mom. aha!
Wake up, open presents, usually mess about with them till I go my nans, do the same there and have dinner of course, come home and play more then go bed :P

We used to go away most Christmas' (even sometimes flying out Christmas Day) for the warmer weather. Especially Florida, they really know how to celebrate the holiday season :P:P
