Sickening that he was released just to protect British interests and that the UK Government hid away from it all blaming it on the Scottish!
That'll teach 'em for arresting Julian Assange I suppose :P

Indeed. Not much we can do it about it though.

Hmm well it can be put down as one of the more major ****-ups of Brown's government now that we know they're behind it.

It was a little obvious. He'll die soon anyway, not that that makes it ok, but meh..

Would the threats really be real and what damage could of been done if we didn't release him then?

Although all this dealing with terrorists and so forth is very hypocritical (do we expect anything else from this government and the U.S. government?) and not to mention disgusting, you have to remember that we have terrorists working in the Northern Irish government as we speak.

Are you trying to start something Dan? I know damn well there are terrorists in my government, I don't see what that has to do with this topic.

I'm simply stating that we shouldn't be suprised at all about this considering we have terrorists working at the highest levels of the Northern Irish government - it's not the fault of the people of Northern Ireland, its the fault of the politicians yet again (for decades who have ceaded to the demands of the IRA). For us all to be outraged over this release is quite right, but most people are forgetting that terrorists in Northern Ireland were released and now actually (and quite sadly) govern Northern Ireland - which is an even more important issue than this one.
So what have we learnt yet again? do not trust government.

Uh, you do know why people allowed the IRA and such to do as they pleased right?
If you didn't you and family would most likely be killed.
