A new 2tb Portable HD and a Weston Digital Media Player, WOOPlease not a USB one? I dread to think how long it'd take to transfer 2TBs of data over USB 2.0

Surprisingly having a tech free christmas for once, the last four years of christmas's and birthdays have been dedicated to updating my setup however I am now near enough content with it so my money is being spent elsewhere :)

Can't say I'm bothered, I'll skip the 2nd gen and go to the 3rd when it comes out if I like the iPad that much.

Or, if you're patient you could get 2nd Generation iPad, with camera, other features, more features, lovely adjectives etc.

I know I'm a Techie, but if I look at it this way, I could use the iPad for 3 months, which is a quarter of it's life cycle (Apple will probably release the hardware in March/April/May) quite happily, or wait without one at all for a quarter of a year. Also, to be frank, I'm bored of waiting around for Tech, I only live once and I do enough waiting already! :P

Also, I have no need for a camera on any device bigger than my mobile phone :P

But its not like it has any 'new features' that your missing out on by not having one, £429+ is a lot to blow on an out of date product that doesn't add anything except convenience.

People should get more for their birthday as your celebrating your birthday, not some fictional character's.

Well, I got my iPad 32GB in september,

I'll prob sell it around a month before its due for a newer generation for around £370-£400 then just save the extra up till the next generation comes out. It's what i do with all my Apple products,

I don't understand why people are so up about this, If the iPad does what you want now why not buy it now? You'll get 4 months before the iPad 2 comes out which is still a 3rd of it's release cycle, plus you're going on rumours, how much of an idiot would you feel waiting 5 months and then Apple skipping this year?

Anyway, it just means I'll skip the iPad 2 and go to iPad 3 if I like it that much! xD
