If any of you do, do A-level Maths or Physics, how hard is it? What are your current predicted grades & what grades did you achieve in the subjects at GCSE level?

Got A in maths in GCSE without really trying, predicted A in a level, im not struggling at all but im pretty good at maths. But its easy enough to learn really. Would recommend taking it.

PHysics on the other hand... the hardest thing ever. Im apparently doing the hardest subjects (maths/further maths/physics/computing) and physics is in a league of its own. Seriously. I got an A in GCSE, with A* in coursework and the jump between is absolutely massive. If you can avoid it, please do. Ive been getting like Cs/Ds in every assessment so far, and the Cs were with revision :l

Well I was thinking on becoming a pilot and it would be better if I took Maths & Physics, so I can study it at university. It said that I need atleast a C in Physics/Maths. Its not really vital for me to go to uni, I could just take up a course instead, but when it comes to employment, the employer will obv employ the one who studied it at uni aswell.

Indeed I do. Maths, further maths, physics and dropped history.
A* in maths at GCSE, B in Physics.
I'm predicted all A's at the moment. Physics is one of the hardest things ever, and maths takes a while to get to grips with, but its all nice now.

I'm also hoping to become a pilot when I'm older. Going off to uni to do aeronautical engineering (hopefully!) :)

got an A in GCSE physics. A level physics is just hard; I got a B in GCSE maths (its a requirement at my school that you get B or above) and I was one of only 4 people who didn't do A level maths along with A level physics. its mostly all maths if im honest, and i struggled quite a lot but maths isn't my strong point anyway.

I heard physics, along with most sciences, is ridiculously hard at A level compared to GCSE.
I take maths at A level, after acheiving my A* at GCSE level, and it's going pretty well so far, currently predicted/targetting and A/A*, but they say cores 3 and 4 are 50% harder than 1 and 2, so in total, I'd be pretty happy with a B/A (:

Maths at my college quite a few people dropped out of it cause they found it quite hard.
