I have a spot on my penis, like right in the middle of the shaft. It's like an acne spot. I've not had sex within the past month. What is it?

I think you can get them anywhere but if you are worried about it best to get it checked. :)
Inseriousity.

lolol just me who thought this was about the 'perfect size'? :P
It probably is acne but like rosie says, if it worries you, go to a doctor and see if they agree.

lmao my penis is spot on
But yeah you can get spots anywhere on and under your skin it's not just a face thing. Remember to wash it properly especially if you've had your greasy little hands all over it and you should be fine

yeah, I would wear gloves when touching it, since these things can probably spread. It sounds harmless to me, I know you can get spots basically everywhere on your body, however if you're concerned or if it gets bigger or the situation changes then I would see a doctor

Ye it's deffo not an sti or anything and is a spot, I had one and it just went after a while.
Off topic: I never imagined, 5 years ago, that I would be posting about my penis on a forum to people I don't even know. Hm.
I had a spot on mine not too long ago, I waited till it was ready to squeeze then squished it. It healed very fast, all gone now. It was the first time I encountered one too. Bit odd but you should be fine.

I wouldn't get too worried about it man. It's probably just an acne spot, although unusual they can theretically appear anywhere on your body.

You asked if he could feel it, I was just telling you he can as it is not invisible. I think it would be a bit more serious if it was just a pain with no visible reason why :P

If it was me, I would just take extra time to wash around that area, and then after every shower until it started to go away I'd put some skin cream on, too.

Only if he is like a werewolf, because of the location :P
Like everyone else has said - it's probably just a normal spot, if you are worried - head to a GUM clinic and get them to check it out :)

not really... thats kinda their job :P
Also if your concerned id see a docter, but if it gets bigger then definately see a docter for sure.
If it hurts or has a colour that can also help in determining what it could be

I think he simply meant that yes - although doctors see much more graphic things throughout their career, it's embarrassing for the patient still :P

LOL WHAT
LOL WHAT
and then he made a post about not getting someone pregnant
MAKES NO SENSE
unless his gf has been pregnant for the last 6 months therefore he hasnt felt attracted to her enough to have sex with her
so that means, as someone said, his greasy hands have been all over it causing him to get a spot
in which case hes wondering how unlucky he was to get her pregnant
its all comin out!

Well I thought if you didnt have it within the past month you were safe from stds? Most STDs don't show any or many symptoms, chlamydia for one being the most common. This sounds like an acne spot but if you think you've got STDs it's probs best to get checked. I feel like one of those members who tries to sound like a GP now I've said that :'(

No ingrown hairs are very real and very painful lol and as if you don't have a hairy shaft they're all the rage

What, because all diseases magically die after a month?

I don't believe that squatting has any relevance to the disappearance of spots? :O
Anyway, although it might be really embarrassing for you, I really recommend you take a visit to the doctor. If not, you could always try the NHS helpline.

I would guess you could get spots anywhere but If you are genuinely worried about it I would say go get it checked, better to be safe than sorry!

spots on the phallus are uncommon but can happen. often it can be the infection of the sebum glands (ie the follicle shaft where the sebum/oils are produced) or can be an ingrown hair. always makes me think, should you exfoliate your penis? lmao.
and it does make sense, he's saying he's not had sex within this month but the last time was six months ago. and it takes 6 months for HIV to show in your blood. HIV/full blown aids wouldn't normally create spots as HIV is a weakening of your defences, unless it was an infection of his skin in general.
