View Full Version : Laptop?
Hello guys. Looking into buying a new laptop for school etc. However, I'm not sure what I should get. I want it to be fairly mobile, functional but I also want to be able to use it for (unintensive games) if I go on holiday or something.
Any suggestions?

Depends how much you want to spend, as a student you can get a HP Envy 14 for ~£800 and it has a i5 460M, 4GB RAM, ATi 5650 (it's what I have and its nice!)

Yeah, that's a real factor on how to pick, how much money you have to spend. Poor Wiizzz is in Australia though so I'm not sure how student discount would work over there :P
Would a netbook be ideal or not?

Not really after a netbook. I'm not really buying around a discount or anything (student dicount) but I'm willing to spend about 1.5k dollars (work it out lul) and then the laptop will last a while.
Also Johny, I'll look into that laptop you suggested thanks.

I think the new styling is horrible, hence why I went for the Envy.
You can get a HP dv7 which has the same specs as the envy (but a 17.3" screen) for around £100 less (I know you are in australia but oh well :P)
