View Full Version : Throne decrease much? Lol.

Thrones are going down, down, down and down. 500 to 400c and now average is 417 on MP. Is the throne going to decrease even more?

Eoin247
14-12-2010, 03:53 PM
Maybe, it's hard to know.

Personally i think they will go down to about 300c and go up again at least for a while, however they might then drop yet again.

With the marketplace dragging values down all over the shop, it's quite possible the throne eventually gets to about 100c even!

I'm just glad i got rid of my thrones a while back.

14-12-2010, 03:56 PM
I don't think they'll go much below 400c but then I don't think they'll go above the current value either. They seem to be stable at around 400c, for now! If Freeze goes on sale to us, they could go down a bit more.

Areva
14-12-2010, 04:19 PM
Yeah I think so too. Thinking about it, they should of made a ICE Throne lol. Don't understand the freeze goes on sale to us? I'm not here with the new teen hip hop bruv (I Joke, In a weird mood today)

Im not much of a trade person, but if the throne's going down massively, does that mean people are buying less credits? or are lots of rares increasing in value as much as the throne is decreasing?

Habbo keep releasing furni that requires a lot of furni to create a decent room. Then they have a lot of room building competitions, meaning people need creds quick. Then to get creds quick, if the current item is 400 then they will sell theirs for 399 and then the next person 398 :(

Areva
14-12-2010, 04:58 PM
Tbh neither I say. I think it's to do with the fact that everyone on Habbo (Including me are "Mr Crab's" and if it isn't 1 c they won't buy it.) I had a 1 c shop open and put my throne in there and this n00b comes in and goes Throne 1 c? I go 5 c and he goes LOOOL N00b nty. Fact is no one wants to buy anything right now and everyone on MP selling cheaper to sell it quick.

If Freeze goes on sale, users will be selling thrones for credits to buy freeze items, thats what Luke meant i think, and i fully agree, thrones always decrease when a desirable furni range is released. In my opinion the throne will keep dropping til after christmas, probably no lower than 375-380 though!

All fingers are pointing at the marketplace, but personally I believe the demise was brought around by a combination of factors.

1. The Marketplace
2. The merge (Quite a few came from AU, and they were around 40c per on that hotel!)
3. The increasing need for credits, rather than a old school currency. Kind of like people not accepting cheques in modern society, instead they want debit or money up-front.

In addition to this, the people who may have wanted thrones, no longer play. The Throne has no sentimental value to many players.

well tbh it's going to go up sooner or later there are more people buying creds, habbo released the battle banzai and freeze in memory of snow storm and battle ball. Unless they make new games which the only one they can bring back atm is wobble squabble which is in the summer so your best bet is that it's going to rise untill summer as they won't release as much and richer people (not being stubborn) like me myself will buy many t's as us casino people enjoy having "bulk thrones" but that's just one theory... there is loads lol just no-one can tell unless your part of sulake

To be honest, I'm not that saddened by the drop of the price of thrones. I miss the days when a throne was worth 50 hcs or 48 hcs. That was the day. I want to be able to buy lots of thrones again so my room looks good :)

they weren't "40c" before the merge on au so I don't know where you're getting that one from - they were cheap but not that cheap, I paid 15hc (hc's still being at their 10-13c value) before the merge for one. australian rare values sites also had this value.

Were they not lower than 15hc before the merge was announced though? I'm not certain but didn't the Thrones on AU only go up a lot after people knew the hotels were merging?

I'm pretty sure they weren't that low I know they were released and everything but that was one or two years (or longer) before the merge was announced. I can't remember exactly when I bought mine unfortunately.

If you look at the graph on marketplace it is following the same pattern as the likes of the Grey Fountain are, compared to other rares they are incredibly common - and in time they are going to go down to their natural value as the only thing that has kept these items up in price has been their former status (Red Fountain, Grey Fountain, Dragon Egg, Throne etc).

It is not looking good, but you should keep an eye on those items which are sometimes in short supply on marketplace but are cheap - come the next rise (which is bound to happen sometime in 2011), they will be the items which do the best.

I think the only reason they are decreasing is because credits are becoming more and more expensive! I remember buying 45 credits for 3 pounds. Also, with the 1c commision when you exchange credits puts people off echanging so in the long run they just sell their furni, get the credits and the process starts again. Nobody really saves up anymore therefore, people are buying thrones at a reduced price and other people are wanting credits so fast so they can buy furni quicker or to buy another rare that has a lot more value

As long as the markeplace exists the throne (as well as the vast majority of rares) are doomed to be worth very little.

the marketplace average has now started to curve, meaning if they're going to increase again any time in the near future, it'll be now. Alternatively, they could just crash and stay there for a while.

I was shocked when HC's when down and now it's happening to Thrones.

Is it because of the merge?

Alkaz
09-01-2011, 01:17 AM
The merge will have something to do with it. There was only a few thousand thrones on the UK from being given out as gifts on Ione's birthday and then quite a few over the years in competitions. I think all other four countries we merged with had at some point released the throne as a rare at least once which put thousands more of them into the market. I guess that could be why it's only over the last couple of months really started to go down as the market was pretty saturated with people trying sell their thrones for as much as they could when they were around the 1000c mark.

The only hotel to release thrones (knowingly and willingly, so excluding when all supers were "accidently" released in 05) was AU.

but yeah there's A LOT now.

lol
10-01-2011, 06:34 AM
marketplace makes it so much easier to buy and change the actual price of the throne. if somebody really wanted to mess up the values, put in ten thrones in the marketplace at 5 coins per and buy them back immediately

Easy to do, but I believe somebody would buy them before you :P

---------- Post added 10-01-2011 at 04:22 PM ----------

How does the market place affect its value?

The Market Place has MASSIVELY effected the price of rare's. For a start, due to so much competition everyone puts there rare one credit lower, than the other 20 people who have their one of the SAME rare in the market place too. This continues, so the price inevitable drops. Also, because their is no longer shops (well there are, but they are hardly used), people only have one to buy and sell their rares quickly and easily. This would be fine, until you take in to account that vast amounts of the same item inevitably means drop of value. Look at it this way; if every single in the world was giving £1 million in whatever their currency was, £1 million would not be worth as much as it was - if everyone has something - where is its value?

give it a few years, when all the people who own thrones quit, there will be less going around :P

A few years? More like when Habbo goes bankrupt. Which won't be happening for a longg time judging by their revenue of millions of dollars yearly.

They did, but recently a lot of the richer Habbos pushed the value back up to 350c. I reckon they'll go a little higher as well. Seen a lot of people offering back and 9gb when betting a T.

They started pushing it up around the same time a few people were pushing the value of the wbb up. :)

Typos haven't actually risen. Amy put hers in the MP for 4000 and bought it. :))
It has pushed the average up and I think has pushed the value up a bit as well. But they aren't going to stay at 800c.

Think T value might be ready to settle, everyones trying to buy at 8gb and no one is willing to sell for less that 410.
