Hiya,

My mum has bought me a netbook for christmas and she bought norton with it. It's the Netbook edition but like how do you install it if it's not got a cd-drive?

Put it on a 16gb usb (easy enough to find, I got one from lidl/aldi haha) or buy an external harddrive which uses usb to connect to your netbook. (My sis has the acer aspire one, more trouble than worth tbh)

External Hard drives tend to be fairly cheap, around £30 - £40 for a decent one that can copy good disks with Windows 7. If you have another PC just insert the disk, go onto it on My Computer and drag the files across. Then, access the USB stick and double click on the installation file. Good luck ;)

I copied everything onto a disc when i had to download Microsoft word. So i guess that would work.

Or, if its Norton Netbook Edition... USE the usb stick that has norton files on it :)

Easy

Agreed. Norton + Netbook = Paperweight.
Norton + i7 980X + GTX 580 SLI = Paperweight
Norton + ANY system = PAPERWEIGHT!

Norton nowadays isn't supposed to be that bad tbh but their reputation is certainly tarnished! LOL

I'm not sure why norton is viewed as bad anymore, ive never had problems with it, and it barelly uses any resources.

Norton + Incinerator = Hotter Incinerator
