Can't reply there obviously so;

OKay let's not forget that HabboxForum is a forum for Habbo - Habbo users average between 11 and 16 years old and believe it or not that's what our demographic is too. These images can cause a lot of distress to people of these young ages and they shouldn't have to fight their own battles.

No need to nanny these users, they'll find far worse on the internet, also if they're that young they need nannying then they probably won't even know what a swastika is.

Nazi imagery has never been allowed at Habbox Forum and quite simply, it never will be allowed.

Is this a new rule?

The communist images are vastly different to that of the Nazi images, yes people have died due to communism but as you point out people have died due to many causes, however the Nazis were purely assosciated with quite literally wiping out those who weren't good enough.

Pretty sure the USSR was similar. The images are not vastly different at all.

The rules aren't changing and Nazi imagery has been banned for a very long time.

Can't find the rule on it pls link

Also i believe the people who complained were actualy older members rather than younger ones, because they themselves found it offensive.

Just thought i'd point that out.

I find this bizzarre. Habbox has and always will be a forward-thinking website. There are members of all races, colours and creeds. The symbol is one of oppression and many people are offended. Am I personally offended? No. But certain user(s) were using the symbol as a way of insulting, upsetting and belittling other members. It's not right. We're in 2010. It isn't funny to offend those that suffered or know people who suffered and if people are offended by the symbol then I feel it is justified.

In my mind, any rules bought in to stop the direct and intentional discrimination against users are ones I am pleased with.

People get offended by all types of things, I agree but where there is substancial reason to ban certain images (and here, I think there is) then it should be done.

It's ridiculous how badly Habbox have handled this, making up rules on the spot which gets them in trouble.

1. How many people are offended? Are there facts to back this up?
2. 11 year olds probably don't know the symbol.
3. The symbol has other uses, it's not just a Nazi symbol.
4. Other wars and cultures have done far worse.

I'll be shocked if the majority, or a large number of the forum, are sensitive when it comes to a symbol which is losing its "oppressive" past as each year goes by.

This man speaks a lot of sense. & no robbie - it's not new, Swastikas have been removed from avatars, signatures, posts for the 6 years HabboxForum has been in existence. If you want to moan about that, send a PM to the Habbox Owners.

Thread closed.

Actually there were a great deal of complaints about this avatar and signature not just 'not mentioning any names' brigade. I can confirm that avatars and signatures of this kind have always been banned and if fact it is less strict than it used to be. Robbie you should know this as an ex Super Mod :P I totally support Hecktix on this.
