Davey-boy is correct in thinking this pass change is fishy (READ THE THREAD PROPERLY IT IS NOT FISHY THEY ARE JUST NOT TELLING YOU THE REAL REASON)
The real reason for this is due to a previous problem they have (to quote 2 previous Hobba Forum threads):

(posted 956 messages) 20-07-2004 14:04 Please change your Hobba account Password IMMEDIATELY.

We don't care if you have changed it in the last hour, the last day, the last week - It needs changing NOW.

If you fail to change your account password NOW... Your account security will be as much use as a chocolate teapot next to a roaring fire.

Pass this message on to all your Hobba friends. Please change your password IMMEDIATELY.

Thank you.

As you can see they are able to see if you have changed your pass. They are just wanting you to change your pass because otherwise it will become "useless" somehow.
So the 50 creds are just an incentive to do so.
So go ahead and do it but now you know the real reason.

Just goes to show how bad habbo are at securing details, and yet they advise us to keep things safe. ;)

Cant they just tell ius to change it rather than let us do it through a competition? People who don't like competitions won't change their pass...

It doesn't say why the security of our account is at risk... or does it?

I was a hobba at the time when they were posted. I assume someone had hold of a number of hobba passwords, which is why we were all asked to change them. It is legit, i can assure you of that.

Well, I have changed mine, so I should be fine. I would have expected if it was fishy, staff would have removed it a long time ago.

The front page of UK Habbo: It doesn't say "Change your password now!" and ask for people saying Habbo will never ask you to change your p.w's, that means they will never say "Change your pass.word to xxxxx".

The point of the competition (as so many of you have pointed out and so few have listened ;) ) is to increase safety awareness and to actually get you to change your p.w's. Everyone should change them once a month at least just to be on the safe side.

So just to give a recap:

No Habbo isnt telling you to change you p.w, its saying if you want a chance to win some credits change your pass.

No its not telling you to change your pass.word due to lack of security on their part

Yes, it is for your account safety that you change your p.w

I hope that helped some of you

I think it sould be more like CHANGED URE PASS AND GET 25 CREDITS FREE! BUT RANDOMLY A WINNNER GETS 50 CREDITS. or something cues its unfair to do it this way

I would n00bishly avoid the filter but I don't want to end up like you, so...

Why don't you grow up you bobba bobba and stop being a bobba n00b by posting rude images because you feel the need to be an annoying little bobba forum n00b?
