There have been reports of a large earth tremor has been felt across much of Cumbria.

People have described hearing and feeling the earth moving "for well over a minute" at just after 2300 GMT.

It was felt as far afield as Barrow, Sellafield, Cockermouth, Windermere and Penrith.

Police say there are no reports of injury or damage so far, but say the tremor was picked up by the US Geological Survey.

Isn't it strange how today's Mock the Week episode was laughing about how the UK never gets any Earthquakes just an hour earlier? Weird. Hardly a devastating earthquake though, life goes on :P

I bet people in Japan and California are wetting themselves at us calling 3.6 a "large tremor".
