Ferrets!?

Does anyone have any experience with Ferrets, as they're the first pet I ever wanted to own and now I've actually got the opportunity (after rats, rabbits, birds, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs... and a mouse called Cheery.)

Anyway, does anyone recommend them as a pet or have experience with them? Appreciated with +rep :)

Ive seen them around at friends and such although i didnt really like them :P

Haha, they're definitely a bit more specialist but I'm not put off just yet thankfully.
