View Full Version : Thinking time!
I was just wondering if people have a certain place they like to go or something they like to do whilst they think about things which are playing on their mind.
I go for a shower to think or i listen to music, just get away from the world and think quietly to myself.
so where do people go?
What do they listen to if it is music?

If I need to think about something very deeply I usually pace in my room or just sit at the computer and contemplate. When I go to bed instead of sleeping I often lay there and think a lot as well. Plus when I am on the bus and when I am walking by myself and when I was in class at school and college and when I just happened to be bored or uninterested at any moment in time... I'm always spacing out or deep in thought really. I think anywhere and everywhere. I rarely put on music to think though, as I find the music just gets my full attention, but instrumentals often spark thoughts in my head. Oh and sometimes I go and climb this massive hill near our house and sit at the top and think about stuff as I look down on the town below (can actually see for miles up there) or I think while walking around aimlessly in fields. I got lost doing that once.
I go for a walk in central london to escape it, I don't like thinking pahaha.

Pretty much this really. I do most 'deep' thinking when im laying in bed. I always have music on then though so maybe it does help me. But yeah generally think a lot when in class/on the bus or just chilling at the computer.

Anywhere quiet really. Sometimes my room late and night, I once even sat in the park for an hour and a half in the dark just enjoying the peace. For music it can be anything, typically slow and something that will provoke some sort of emotional response from me.

Sitting on my windowsill with my legs dangling off and the curtain shut behind me. Sometimes I actually get out onto the flat roofy thing but it's kinda difficult to get back in then XD

I've always been tempted to do that but I always think I'll just fall straight through it.
When I'm ultra angry or upset canal walks tend to ease the pain. I have a certain bridge I like to sit under near my house.

I used to go to this river in these woods near me, then one day I ran into some chavs who were having a 'party' and still had some booze and drugs left, (this was when I was in there with friends) and we said no and they tried to insist us on having some, we had to take the most awkward route to get out of the woods cuz they were trying to find us. We all got out safely though, but I rarely go in those woods anymore :L
I go and sit in my room & listen to music
