Matt Lucas and David Walliams are back but this time its focus is the Airport! I watched the programme on BBC iPlayer and thought it was brilliant! I like to know about criticisms and comments about programmes like this so tell me what you think!

If you missed it here is the link to watch it!

I loved the bit where there was that old lady who said she'd never been on a plane before, and then made the airport manager person buy her stuff and then told him that she'd been on many planes.

I cracked up!!!

I loved the Jamaican woman as I just loved her references such as "Praise de lorrrd for de multipack" :P Think it was great! Can't wait for it on DVD but as said above I don't think it'll be as good as Little Britain! :)

Yeah, it is a series. A brilliant one to.

The transexual bit at the end was a bit cheesy, but funny I guess.

The burger boy was hilarious so is precious.

It is basically an extension onto the all to familiar Little Britain Series that we have grown tired of.

A little note I intend on sending to Matt Lucas:

"This style of 'acting' is getting rather pathetic now... Stick with Theatre and Musicals... Your performance in Les Misérables was admiral and simply fantastic. If you continue creating this type of 'comedy' then you will be forever typecast as a comedic failure who lives off past successes."

Pardon?

AgnesIO
05-01-2011, 06:48 PM
Pardon?

Well, you are talking about a man who has made huge amounts of money for what he does. He also entertains millions of people, so I can't work out how you could class him as a failure if he continues to make millions of people laugh?

I have credited him as an admiral actor however (as I have said) this is blatantly an extension onto the Little Britain franchise which, in my opinion, is an absolute waste of his time.

And on your note about him "entertaining millions and making huge amounts of money"... actors across the world do this all the time and in some cases they create absolute flops, in my opinion this show.

Take Will Ferrell for example:

A comical genius who has created and portrayed some fantastic characters over the years entertaining millions of people across the world and has made himself a nice personal fortune. However because he has recently starred in some absolute flops he has since become the Least Bankable Actors in Hollywood.

Lmfao I saw it last night when I got back from holiday :') brilliant. Matt Lucas is the best in the 2 episodes so far but they're both brilliant. I love the jamaican (or is she barbadosian?) woman made me crack up "We got milk, we got water, we got paper cups, we got sugar, we got FIRE but we got NO COFFEE! Someone stole the coffee! The lord works in mysterious ways!" *walks off singing a hymn & throws coffee in the bin* lmao.

I'm confused as to what you are saying...

Although Little Britain was extremely successful early on. However, by series 3 it had just become another excuse for a television show to make money. Sadly the magic of this comedy duo has gone and the spark that once defined this style of comedy as original (the first series of Little Britain) has sadly gone out.

Matt Lucas was in Les Miserables really? playing who?-

He portrayed Thénardier in the 25th Anniversary show at the O2 in London. He was highly praised by critics all around the world and considered by many to be one of the strongest and comfortable Thénardier's since the show began.

It has received mainly negative reviews from critics, with some calling it "the worst “sketch show”, or “sitcom” to have ever gone out on Christmas Day". It is also interesting to find that the small minority of positive reviews have come, mostly, from the 'ever so charming' (note the sarcasm) Tabloid Newspapers.

So sadly it isn't just myself who deems Come Fly With Me, useless, unnecessary, crude and a down right waste of acting skills from a possible future theatrical genius (Matt Lucas).

In case you have a moment of free time (which I gather you will as you are using the internet) cast your eyes at some of the critical reviews that are easily available on the internet. There just a click away!

This show is hilarious! The criticisms for the show are usually racial and I kind of agree that it isn't right in some way.

The third episode with Precious was just lame. We got the joke about her, but it has been over killed.

then shes like "sorry no coffee left, shop closed" and just closes the thing in his face then you see her leg it in the distance.

It's good, but so far the first episode is the best one. Some areas of the second and third (like new characters) have been good, but the old characters are following the same gravy train and it gets a bit boring after a while. Precious is a good character, but they need to show off other sides of her now as we all know she doesn't want to open that damn coffee shop anytime soon :P
