http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1zaF0DEwpU
not my favourite but lmao I just love Courtney Love and Hole's music plus she plays two of my favourite songs ever and she's just so ******* out of it. If you don't like the music then skip to like the last 2 mins haha.

I think it's really good for a live performance, it's rare now to be that good.

Yeh, that's good, but It doesn't have the same atmosphere as at live aid. Plus they weren't allowed sound checks :l
FlyingJesus, what's that about :L it's like 5 seconds long...
Gotta be honest, never heard of courtney love before... :/

HC0R3H00LIH00P, how can you even compare peter kay to queen... :l
It said "live performance".. Its a performance am i correct?
Where in my post did i state "queen suck, peter kays better" ??
Don't imply.

A good performance, but that honour lies with Michael Jackson.

I'm not implying anything... where in my post did i say you said queen suck? but if you think that live performance is the best one ever then i disagree :L and misawa, yes, michael jackson was a fantastic performer but I still think that Freddie Mercury was the best live frontman ever

Maybe not the first bit but this is a thread for the best live performances so you did kinda suggest Peter Kay is a better performer than Queen were
well seeing as that all Freddie mercury is doing is well.. moving his arm the odd time.. Not exactly a performance.
Now you can also imply i am hatin' on queen, but i can gurantee im not.

Haha, theres four other segments to that clip, want to see movement? here you go...

also, he sounds fantastic live, which shows how he/they haven't been edited by the studio. You make me laugh, peter kay can barely hold a tune plus the audience don't have the same atmosphere as at live aid...
Queens performance at live aid out did all the other bands/artists. it was a great performance imo and to many others.
Also, plus the fact he is playing the piano is maybe why he isn't dancing around... :L

I have always been impressed by Pearl Jam and Rammstein's live performances because they're both pretty high on the mental scale.

Rammstein just spray fire from their faces everywhere and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam likes to climb scaffolding, hang around and sing up there for a bit and eventually slide down the wire of his microphone. Quite impressive. No idea what the best live performance ever is though.

Amazed at how people can claim ****** little pop ******s hhave the best ever live performance. Absolutely stupid.
I'd say Muse's set at Glasto was pretty incredible, as was their set on the HAARP dvd. Best live band you will ever see also.

What does genre have to do with it? One of the best moments in live music to my mind is Jay-Z introducing Nas into a duet of Dead Presidents to officially end a beef that could have turned them into the next great corpses-
(Warning: foul language)

which far outweighs watching some guy standing around wailing a simple album song in my view, but I won't try claiming that the best live performance can't be a rock song

In my opinion rock and metal are just so powerful though. They can't really be on the same level as some mainstream crap live. You can't compare an actual full live band to someone for example Justin Beiber dancing about the stage like a puff or Usher (or whoever it was on the X-Factor) when the only lines he said in his own song were basically "yeah, come on, yeah"

It's really not up for you to decided which genre is better. It's all personal opinion. In my opinion pop is a lot better than metal, but that's my opinion and I'm not gonna go around saying silly things like you've said.

I'm not saying which genre is better. I said that they are more powerfull genre's, as in the type of music is just more powerfull and the lyrics tend to make a lot more sense than the lyrics in pop music.
I never once said one genre is better than another.

Rammstein are easily the best live show I have ever seen, the start of the show was just amazing, enough so to even give you goosebumps, I'm not exactly a fan of them but they sure know how to put on a good show.

lol @ you dissing "pop" then going on to say muse (*cough* a pop band *cough*) are "incredible"
idk what the "best live performance ever" is cause thats ridiculously subjective, especially when taking into consideration what artists you like. however anyone who thinks any band other than lightning bolt puts on the heaviest and most aggressive shows on earth has clearly never heard of lightning bolt.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7BDZ7KyNRE
lets just say one of my friends punched the drummer in the face and he kept playing.
