ok I was on habbo.com about to post but I am blocked for some bizaar reason i didnt do anything!?! Anyways, Heres the story

Ok So Habbo said they were going to refund habbos who lost thier furni and were going to sue Sulake Lab...some 1said who cares about stupid pixels. Well here's my oppinion:

Ok, It's like habbo stole from us. Exept YOU Chose to give him your money. Because Habbo/a Hacker has taken what YOU paid for for no apparent reason and no fault of your own... But there's a big chance with habbo being how it is now... That habbo will say "You're the ones who paid for your furni. It's out of our hands if you loose it/ give your pass to a hacker OR download a keylogger." But that's NOT what we did. It's really NO FAULT OF OUR OWN AND I PERSONALLY THINK IF THE REFUND DONT COME BY, THEN SULAKE DISERVES TO GET SUED. Thanks For Reading. And Here's some more from people commenting: Ok... I will sue them down the line if it comes to that, but I don't mean be an obnoxious person and doing it right now. I'm sure Sulake has gotton threat letters and so has Callie, and Habbo. But think about this: You get a.... new HC Sofa. You're so proud of it. So you just leave it in your room and you find out that it's been gone. You Were really secure with you pass, you don't even have friends yet! You never told even your sister it. You send various calls for help and you find out that habbo hotel was hacked into by a security problum, so it's no fault of your own.

Now see? Does that make a visual in your heads?? And you don't have to be so mean some of you.

Universe.

Goodluck with sueing such a large organisation, because that fact is, you agreed upon making a habbo that you would not be able to sue sulake or habbo hotel, so you won't be able to.

You can't shove into a legal document "You can't sue us". Every company would do it.

It would be considered void by the courts.

You could well sue Habbo, and if you won and a legal precident was set, Sulake would be *****ed as everyone making similar claims would win. Being the big money-obsessed business that Sulake is, I can't see them letting it get that far :)

Yeah If you did push that in no one could sue anything and I dont remeber seeing it in the agreement. If it is I will find a way becuase it's not fair.

Habbo is an evil Hotel that basically hides alot of agreements which you can't see until you bother going around the site looking for these things. You can sue them but you cannot win because you agreed to make a Habbo and have it as your own responsibility, but what Habbo hasn't said anywhere on the agreements that the Security may not be all that secure therefore the agreement is void, because your account is not safe on Habbo due to poor security.

Yeah, so am I the only one who bothers to read the T&C before signing up to things? I swear one day i'll make a site where you register, and because everyone just goes clickety click, accept, blah blah blah, I could add something in like:

5.1 : At any point for the duration of your account being here, I can legally come around to your house, take aleak up your front door, and on your kids if you have any, and the eat all your cheerios and steal anything I like.

What are you gonna do about it? Sorry jerk it's legally binding. I'd like to see someone stand up in court and say "But I didn't read it properly, I just wanted to play" and not get Habbo confiscate their genitals. :eusa_danc Moreover, GommeInc i've searched every page of HabboHotel, and I find that they hide nothing. There's even a box on the home page that takes you to Sulake and all the organisation stuff, all the information you need to know is right there in the site, it's not hidden at all. Plus, if you stopped to read anything during the registration process you'd clearly see all the T&C dsplayed there. In fact i'm going to go look to see if they've added anything since last time such as: "We are not held responsible for loss of items bought from the site due to lack of yours or our security"

And anyway, with all this talk of sueing...like any of you would actually go ahead and do it. I haven't met a soul on here yet with enough bottle to stand up in a court room without leaving a puddle on the seat. Oh wait here come the "yeh i soooooo would u noob so shnut the hellls up!" posts, from stupid boys and girls who think they're adult.

You can't, it's in their clause.

That upon purchasing Habbo Credits and/or features that involve the Habbo Credit system and Habbo encounter's an error or loss of your Habbo Credits or loss of an account that has been supplied with Habbo Credits; Habbo Hotel LTD will not be the accusation of the following subjects:

. The hacking of a Habbo Hotel account;
. Loss of items from purchases from our Hotel (Please note that this is not a real hotel and has pixel 'Accessories' to enhance play on our game.
. Server Subsiding
. Freak accidents beoyond Habbo Hotel and Sulake control.

We will however do our best to retrieve account details and item loss if possible. (This is bull, never have they done this (get the furniture back)).

You didn't own the furniture so why should Habbo refund you? Read Habbo Terms and Conditions, it claims you don't actually own the furniture you buy. So..Quit complaining?

OMGZ IM GONNA SUE HABBO! Err no, a lawyer would cost £££ and the amount you spent on habbo is probably no where near anough to get any good amount of money from them!

How is Habbo stealing from you when you lose your furni? It's not like you buy it, and they just delete it. You purchase credits. They don't put a gun to your head and say "Buy credits or die." When you get scammed, or keylogged, or banned, it's nobody's fault but your own. I don't know why people keep blaming it on Sulake, when it's their own fault in the first place.

It doesn't matter what is in the terms and conditions. You fully have the right to take Sulake to court if you wish.

You could put "You cannot sue me" into any contract. It doesn't always mean you can't sue them. Whatever a contract says, they are still legally responsible for the services they're providing. If a company owes you a duty of care, and are neglegent to that duty, you can claim compensation.

It's like in the workplace. There may be signs that warn you of dangers, and that would count as a contract as they are entering the area at their own risk, but if you were injured through no fault of your own, you can still claim compensation.

if you werent such a total idiot you would probably notice that when you buy something you own it, thats like buying something you dont actually own eg. the pixels then saying youve got hacked theres no proof in it so sulake could easily say we dont believe you and then you get pwned

but we can sue them under the data protection act for not keeping out email-phone numbers and details safe

Bear-Max

Except for the fact that habbo doesn't take our phone numbers.

They have our e-mail and date of birth. And that's about it for personal details really.

When we buy credits the system records our numbers. That's how other sites get them, through HK

Bear-Max

Well that all depends on the method of buying credits.

I guess that's scary if you think about the people that buy with credit cards...
