We are looking to recruit a new Support Team, so please get in contact if you have the relevant knowledge about computers.
1. What do I get out of helping you?
2. Have you got a sustainable income?

1. What do I get out of helping you?
2. Have you got a sustainable income?
1. It's a voluntary position, therefore there is no payment involved.
2. Our income is sustainable.
Is a CV really needed?
A CV is needed to back up your application, and make it look unique; we require a CV to get a broad knowledge of you as a person, and to get an idea of what you are capable of. This is also a neccessary procedure to filter out the sort of people who appear to have no experience in computing, who we wouldn't want on our team.

Right, okay. I will need to create a CV then.

Vouch for these guys.
Thank you for that,
And thanks to everyone else whos showed their support towards the site.
A CV is a bit of a strange ask I think, you'd be best just asking for the information you'd be looking for on it like qualifications, it's of no interest to you where i went to school, who to get a reference from or where I've worked previous hence you don't need a CV
Good luck with it though, shame it didn't work out as a paid support site.

Asking for a CV is not really as strange as it may seem to some people such as your self. A CV gives us all the information that we could possibly need, including information that wouldn't be very thorough, by just answering questions. For example, in a CV we will be able to get a rough idea of your personality. Furthermore, a CV makes each application look unique, as opposed to a list of questions being answered which has be done in the same format as other candidates, therefore a CV allows the candidate to stick out.
Also, the website services have changed, providing free support, however we are going to be introducing webhosting very shortly which will involve a paid package, the site is still working out, just in a different strategy.

Hello,
Unsure whether many of you on this forum do know of me or can remember me but I founded Helping-ICT.com about 4 years ago now. I'm glad to see some familiar faces. IJoe, I see Nexdana has gone strength to strength from the last time I saw it. My strongest congratulations goes to you and the team. Helping-ICT offered the same services as what you are offering and I'm so glad that you guys have taken the leap into the market. It takes a lot to succeed and some days you will feel like you want to throw in the towel. But it's hard. The computing market is VERY competitive and you need to make sure you get your support team up to a high standard and work on your marketing/promotion. Ensuring your team has a high level of support will benefit you so much, and I can't stress this enough. Instead of having 20 staff members who are 'ok' at I.C.T, get a couple who are the bee's nee's!
I saw a comment on this thread saying 'is a CV really needed?' To ensure the standards of professionalism I'm sure asking a CV is the minimum they should ask for. I recommend they introduce tests to all candidates who wish to join the team to ensure they have the knowledge they claim.
Truth be told, I have spoken to the duo before hand and have given my views on there business plan. Boys, ensure that you are at the top of your game. Make sure your not spending all your time on 'checkhabbo'. I'm sure your old enough now to realise what is more important. HC-IT could make you a small fortune.
I hope I speak for everyone when I say, We wish you ALL the best and hope you have every success.
Thanks guys,
Ben W

Thanks Ben for your support, it is much appreciated!
Regarding spending too much time on CheckHabbo, CheckHabbo is no longer in operation, but however we have the site kept up for memorial purposes, so there is no need to worry about delegating time to each site. I can assure everyone, that HC-ITS is our number one priority, and will continue to be so!
I would also like to take this opportunity to announce that we have introduced small webhosting packages, for reasonably small price plans, so check out the site if you are interested in hosting.
If you have any further questions regarding hosting, you can contact the Webhosting Team via our Live Support System.
Thanks again.

Hi everyone,
We would really like you to take the advantage of the services which we provide at HC IT Solutions. If you have any problems with your computer, if its beginning to run slow, getting a error message which you are unsure about or even need some computer related advice, then have a chat with us on live support. If you would like to create a small website for 50p per month then please check out our hosting packages!
You may think that the disk space which we provide is not big enough, but it really is. I moved CheckHabbo to our host, www.checkhabbo.net (Which is quite a large website).
Thanks again.

Can I get a non-word friendly version of the application?
I'll be willing to provide my CV + Cover Letter as well as the application except I don't have word on this computer at the moment.

Sure :) Here is a PDF version, http://www.hc-itsolutions.co.uk/application_2010/HCITS%20Recruitment%20Form.pdf
The PDF version will not allow you to fill out the fields so in your application e-mail could you please include the parts of the application form, e.g. First Name, IT Skills etc.
Thanks again,
Richard

I personally think the domain is quite long, the design could be improved and the services you provide should stand out more. Like on the homepage, the services shouldn't be at the bottom of the page, it should be on the top so it will grab the users attention quickly. I also think the staff page is quite stupid, I absolutely don't give a damn on what you look like, so cut out the images and actually explain what staff does what, what qualifications they got which is relevant to the website. It has got potiential but work on it and good luck.

Ok guys, Thanks again for Feedback etc - Minor Adjustments will be made to the site in which we feel are needing fixed.
The Domain and the Main Design its self will not be getting changed, these are what we founded HC-ITS on, and will remain in place.
Thanks anyway.
