I used to be scared of death, (thanatophobia or something like that) then I kinda grew out of it.
And now I'm not really sure, you would think I had a fear of dentists at my performance I pulled but heho.
Anyone got a phobia? And how do you overcome it if you do etc?

I don't really have fear of heights, but when combined with those stairs with gaps in them... there's my phobia.

I don't know whether it's a phobia or whether I'm just really scared - but I absolutely hate snakes.
I remember one time in Florida in a couple of years ago we were in a car park.. we'd just been talking about snakes in the car. Then when we were walking somewhere my Dad was like "Mathew walk over this way"... I looked at the ground and there was a black snake. I seriously screamed so loud and basically collapsed into my Dad's arms. Then my Gran walks over to the snake and kicks it; turns out it was plastic :(!
I don't have a real phobia to anything really.
I guess we're all scared of dying even if we deny it and pretend we're okay with the thought..

Im not sure, i don't like the sound they make, and when they approach a station, i think that someone will push me and i'll die.
It's really strange, i cant describe how they make me feel and why.

Oh :(
I'm sometimes scared of falling into the tracks too. It's probably just one of those fears that will eventually go away. I used to be proper scared of dogs and always thought they'd bite me but now that I need to pass the park every morning (where people are walking their dogs) to go to the train station the fear is starting to go away. Odd really.
I'm not sure if this falls under a phobia of death... but I have a fear of others dying. Probably because I feel sorry for people so easily even for a minor thing.

Sedatephobia and arachnophobia
the fear of silence and the fear of spiders :P i'm always playing music and my radio or computer music is ALWAYS on when i'm home. as soon as i get off the bus i turn on the music on my phone until i go upstairs. i don't even like listening to the radio 24/7 but i can't be in the silence. i fall asleep to the radio and when the time gets close to being up on the sleep mode, if i'm still up, i reset it for another 90 minutes :P and spiders i'm just absolutely terrified of, but sometimes i'll be brave if its small and squash it on my own. if its big my mom has to kill it! in fact the other night it was 12 am and i was standing up in the bathroom, and i almost put my hand on the wall until i saw a spider there and i nearly screamed but thank the lord my eyes just got huge and i backed away. i ended up killing it myself and was very proud :)

That's definitely not true.
I'm scared of heights but I want to go skydiving. You could say that's strange.

I'm sorta afraid of heights. If I am high up, I just think to my self that it will all be over soon.

Fear of heights and insects. I suppose I could have a fear of swimming since I hate the thought to swimming nowadays and I used to love it when I was younger, but I doubt I really have it.

i have emetophobia
i'm not afraid of myself being sick but it's others. the smell, the sound, just seeing anything that looks like it. even just soup or something on the middle of the road i will cry no joke. i know seeing/hearing someone be sick is no fun for anyone but mine is a genuine phobia. i hate it so much. especially in places i can't get away from. seriously if someone is sick in a bus i will leave no matter where i am. i have to know all the possible exits in people's houses and new places lol just incase.... it sounds ridiculous but it's a major setback for me. & this is why i hate planes too. i think that's where my phobia started really, some girl was sick next to me on the plane when i was young and her mum freaked out so i thought it was terrible. idek. kinda sucks going out drinking with people and having to get a bus for long journeys. though i'm not that bad on busses anymore. i actually think it's getting better.

My phobia is insects with long legs, I'm okay with ants/ladybugs/etc but spiders/beetles/cockroaches and anything like that give me the creeps. And it makes it worse during the summer because for some reason all of the spiders decide to come into the house, a few months ago we had 4 massive ones, I remember walking through the door of my living room and noticing one on the door frame above my head, imagine if I'd closed the door and it had fallen and scuttled upstairs :(
I just looked at the list of phobia's on Wikipedia and I noticed 'Atychiphobia - fear of failure', I probably have this too because I'm always worrying about the future and money and what I'm going to do if I end up homeless with no money to live on...

I don't have a fear of height's been up Blackpool tower loads of times. But if I'm stood on a stool or something I'm cautious so I don't fall.

Spiders and sitting in a high up place (the grand theatre makes me feel sick when i sit in the circle), but i'm not afraid of going on the big one in Blackpool (highest rollercoster in Europe) so its not exactly a fear of heights

I've been on the see-through panel on top of the Blackpool Tower and I was alright with that but when it comes to roller coasters such as The Big One, I can't do it! :/
Mine are heights, spaces where I cannot move my arms (for example being tied up with my arms tied straight down my waist) and I suppose needles. The last one though I think I'm am actually getting over as recently I've had my nose pierced (well about 2 years ago now), a cyste cut out (I was awake) and tattoos. With the last I had no fear at all.

Someone else said fear of other people vomiting, well I'm afriad of vomiting myself & other people being sick, so if I feel sick I panic loads, making myself more likely to be sick, and sometimes if I've eaten loads of sweets I'll feel fine and then suddenly think 'omg I've eaten so many sweets i'm obvisouly gonna be sick' and then I will feel sick, even though it's just my mind.
I'm scared of other people being sick becuz once in Year 6, in assembly we were singing one of those tacky songs and she vomited all down my back, I actually felt suicidal and they wouldn't even send me home and I had to wear my P.E kit but I felt like i just had sick all over me, it was disgusting. Ever since then if someone says 'I feel sick' I panic, but I don't think I have it as bad as some of the other people who mentioned it.
I used to be scared of lifts (elevators), I was scared of getting stuck in one, and I would always take the stairs instead, then one day I was with my friends and they all wanted to go in the lift and I didn't want to be on my own so I went in with them and I realised how stupid that phobia was and after a few times going in I stopped feeling nervous.
Oh, and I can honestly say I am not scared of death - but I am scared of dying painfully.
