Sulake is a company that owns Habbo, and other stuff than Habbo. I can't see this going far, but good luck anyway.

I wonder how long it'll be before sulake kick up a fuss about that domain

I really would suggest getting a new domain and name for your fansite. I can see users thinking you're actually Sulake. :S

You definitely won't be allowed to keep that domain :P

Lovely forum skin though, save for the bottom!

Why would you call a habbo fansite sulake.info ? :( You'll never get the chance to become official because of the name.

However, this might be a clever move as sulake might buy the domain off him?

They don't need to buy it, they can just take it.

acctualy im thinking of trying to get traffic then selling domain to sulake :D

and they cant take it off bulletproof domain/hosting :) all offshore so to get it they would need to buy

Why would sulake bother to get a .info domain anyway?

I mean if they could just take it they might, but i can't see them paying much for it.

It's more the fact they wouldn't want anyone posing as them, if they took the domain it wouldn't be to use it - it would be to simply make sure that there was no confusion.

They would hardly pay much though just to avoid confusion surely?

You'd be suprised. Loads of big companies buy all the domains to avoid this.

They wouldn't pay anything, they'd scream copyright. Looking at the domain details it's been active a few months, probably as you haven't done much with it. Now you've opened a habbo fansite with it it'll cause you problems - and posting it all over this forum probably wasn't the best idea since we have an active member who is Sulake staff and other staff trawl our forums too :P

Will be interesting to see what eventualy happens with this.

Sell the domain to Sulake eh? They'd take you to court, as Hecktix said scream copyright and they'd have your site closed down and they'd have that domain no trouble if they wanted it.

Why not use a unique and original name?

Good luck with it!

They don't have to pay anyone, even if the host or domain registrar is offshore. They can just go to the company that manages the .info TLD, scream copyright and boom, you lose your money and domain.

Sulake won't buy the domain off you, keep dreaming.

They will just take the domain, and do you even know how to pronounce sulake?

Sorry, But sulake won't buy it from you as they own the Patent for "Sulake" tbh, They will try to sue you more then anything lol.

Agree and I would imagine they have the trademark & ownership of the name.

Like everyone else said, opening a habbo fansite with that domain is foolish.

Good luck anyway. :]

Sulake isn't just a website company too, they even have there own offices. If they are fuzzed about it, they'd get it in court easily.

of course, you say soo-lake

As so many have said, having sulake in your domain name is a silly thing to do.
If you're hoping to sell it to them then think again lol.

Sulake will never buy the domain off you. With their power they can report you and your site will be seized. Suggesting stupid things like that is going to make no one join your site.

So, for 2 pages everyone has been saying the same thing, "they wont pay you for it, they will just take it... lalala".

So, Sulake are a big company, they own mainly everything to do with the work Sulake. They have more chance of waiting for you to get traffic & then sue you, to get money from you, not the other way around.

I think the thread should be closed before more of the same stuff is said :)

Lew.
