GCSE: A minimum of five GCSE A grades which must include English Language and Mathematics.

if they say that but i only have a B n english language will they even consider me if i'm predicted AAAB at AS and got 4 A* 5A and a B (the B in english language i know i will constantly hate myself).

It just seems stupid that they could turn people away from a course over one GCSE. I did GCSE lit aswell and got an A?

The degree is Law and Criminology at Manc Uni

Are you continuing with Eng Lang at AS/A-Level? You will probably be OK.

I'd never even heard of uni's saying a specific demand for GCSEs

Depends how popular the course is and how strong your application is, if the course is in huge demand then the chances are they could say you don't meet the basic entry requirements therefore aren't suitable. With your other qualifications I doubt you have much to worry about though :P

Inseriousity.

Depends on demand and how popular the course is. Law's a popular choice so sometimes they go to GCSEs as well.

I wouldn't get too worked up over it though. Personally, I think it just covers their back in case anyone complains about not getting in. Good luck :D

Yeah ok i thought so i was just checking :) and yeah i had never heard of Unis asking for specific GCSE grades just normally a number of grades but it might just be a guideline. It was a high B anyway.
