Thought I would make this, as there will probably be a number of threads discussing items at CES this year.

You can find out about all of the happenings and news at www.engadget.com - the official place to get news for CES 2011 (the third year running apparently!)

So, what do you expect to see at CES and what are your thoughts on what has (in two days) been shown?

CES officially starts in two days

CES does look interesting although I don't know what new tech is going to be unveiled.

I'm looking forward to the ASUS eeePad. My dream of Media Center on a big but portable screen will be realised.

I think we're going to see a lot of tablets. I'm most excited to see some Android things come out!

Apple will market the first generation iPad until the second they release the new one at their own event in March/April.

I would be surprised if they released anything until the end of 2011 at the earliest, would be nice to see something though!

Tablets, tablets, 3DTVs and other not-so-interesting things. I'm not really sitting at the edge of my seat, it's just going to reflect on what amazing new technologies started coming out last year, but you'd get individual companies hyping up their own versions. As long as new things are talked about then I'm happy, but so far the only thing interesting me is Android Honeycomb.

Apple's events, E3 and independent Microsoft and Google announcements are far more interesting and revealing.

cough cough cough

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/motorola-droid-bionic-hands-on/ - 2GHz processing power.. on a phone!

Not sure if it was that one (Motorola Droid Bionic) or the Motorola Atrix 4G - but one (if not both) have 1GB RAM. Pretty impressive :P

The eeePad http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/04/asus-eee-slate-ep121-officially-unveiled-ips-display-core-i5-a/ also looks seriously good.

Indeed, but I guess they would as they are more informative and look into things in great details, plus I guess they're developers of operating systems which make most (if not, all) the products at CES run in the first place :P

^ That ASUS Eee Slate looks awesome. Leagues ahead of what Apple could muster (and as we have seen in the past, it's not hard to overtake Apple in the first place).

The Asus eee Slate looks very nice, but expensive. :(
