So I "attained" the Learn & Master Guitar series which is apparently one of the best there is to learn by. And it's been good so far however I think my fingers are too short/fat haha. When i play a chord some of the strings are muffled because I can't get my hand around the neck enough to prevent my fingers overlapping another string :/
Anyone have helpful tips for a beginner?
Thanks :)

practice. really everyone has the chord problem when they're just beginning, i remember being frustrated at bar chords. but really, its impossible to describe what you need to do to get it right, its something you need to feel for. just practice chord positions and transitions. it can be really frustrating, trust me haha, but the more you practice and experiment the easier itll get.

i found this is the most annoying kind of answer when i had the same problem when i first started out, but it is literally the best advice. theres no more you can do, you just have to not get frustrated about it, take it slow and you will get the hang of it. i couldnt even play a simple F chord and i avoided any songs with it in like the plague because i just couldnt do it, but keep practising and it will come naturally :)
