Right well I am looking after my little cousin Cayce tomorrow and It's my first time looking after her. Her mum and dad are away to Germany as that is were they are based because they are in the army and Cayce is staying with her gran for a month in the UK and she wants me to look after her tomorrow but I am quite nervous because I don't want anything to happen and I'm really dreading on getting her lunch because she is only 1years old I just keep thinking.. what if she chokes or she is allergic to something and no one has found out she cant have it or what if she falls and really does hurt herself ect. It might sound strange but yeah any advice +Rep

Although I'm never on my own really I have the same problem with my nephew, if you're giving your cousin the right food that she's had before then I think she'll be fine.
Also about the falling and choking, just keep an eye on her - try and keep her occupied with things that are too big to choke on and just keep with her if you think she's going to fall.
They will probably leave food for you to give her

make the food child friendly, if you are not given it as suggested above. i.e. nothing too big. If she is alergic, just call someone. If the symptons are quickly obvious, call an ambulance. If it is slow, call your mum or dad or something or just take her down to hospital. When I had my reaction it was slow, it just started with stomach pain and took a few hours for visible signs, blotches etc. just keep an eye on her and shell be fine, good practice for the potential future ;)

Well then obviously ask them what you should feed her otherwise it's defiantly your fault if she's allergic to something, and you shouldn't put yourself in that position anyway.
Ask them what she likes to eat, after that it's easy all she'll do is play around and want to be kept occupied.
Kids are easy, if your scared of minding her, you shouldn't be in the first place.

Just make sure you're with them when they're eating and try to keep them occupied - play some games with them, they're likely to play up and misbehave if they're bored. I should be a bloody expert by now, I've got 3 younger siblings who I look after a lot haha.
But basically yeah just make sure you know where they are all the time - if you don't know where they are and it's quiet it's usually because they've occupied themselves with something they shouldn't be playing with haha,
good luck :) Have fun! Kids are great! :)

It's not that I was scare I'm just overly cautious as It's my first time watching her without her mum and Dad being there.
But it went well anyways. +Rep to everyone who commented. Cheers ;)
