How would i go about removing gnu grub so i can boot xp? because ive read that because of it i cant boot xp from cd and install it, any ideas? +rep

I believe you can accomplish this task by keeping grub, I've done it before I discovered Wubi by following the tutorial here (http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_linux_and_windows_xp_linux_instal led_first.htm).

Booting XP from CD has nothing to do with Grub, your BIOS bootloader will do that.

Yeah i know but apparently grub stops windows xp from booting when you want to install it, thanks david btw.

edit: still no luck trying to get xp to boot up the installation process i might try warez and see if they've got a copy and try that.
