I have done, genuine copies and not so genuine ones still nout although i can get virtualbox version thats why is annoying i wouldnt mind it if you could make the actual virtualbox screen larger so you can see what your doing.

And you're using the same drive?

1. Make sure the iso image is bootable once put on a disc
2. Ensure your CD/DVD drive is 1st in your boot priority
3. When it says something like "Press any key to boot from CD...", tap a key...

Other than that I'd say unlucky you :)

Boot Order is all I have to say to you :) If it doesnt give you the option to boot from disc, the disc isnt bootable. I suggest burning the image with "ImgBurn" :)

When you're booting press f8 until your fingers break off, then press it some more.

You will most likely get a boot menu saying "WHERE 2 BOOT FROM?" chose CD-ROM. Job done.
