I made this thread to basically start a discussion about Parcel Force. Is it a good service or a bad service, give us your own opinions. I will share mine:
My Opinion
I think Parcel Force is a good courier, but then it has its moments. For example today I have a new laptop coming, and I use their track and trace service. However, it has said since early this morning - 13-01-2011 06:41 Charlton Depot Loaded to vehicle for delivery.
Now I know that it has been loaded, but surely by now at 10:25 it is out for delivery? My rant of the day I guess is - Can someone stop being lazy and update the track and trace service more often!?
Another issue I have is the staff, the delivery driver once knocked on my door and then just stood there for about 10 seconds staring at me... I wasn't sure why but then all of a sudden he said 'Delivery' and gave me the parcel. To me that is kinda weird. Normally when I get a delivery (not parcel force) they give me the parcel let me sign for it and drive off.
My opinion isn't really based around a major issue but I am saying they should improve at least.
Now it is your turn.. what is your opinion on Parcel Force?

They're fairly good, although I must admit track and trace's are shocking!
I was waiting for my iPad to come today & all it said was loaded on vehicle :S
It doesnt put me off using a courier though :)

When ever I get deliverys from them they always seem to be when they say they are going to be so I can't really fault them!

Never really bothered with Parcel Force myself. Although every time Amazon have sent me something using Home Delivery Network (HDNL) I have had a problem. Every time. I just stick with Royal Mail.

I think Parcel force are much better than royal mail but the HDNL are I agree utter crap!
I hate HDNL, The local depo is miles away and they usually deliver at such obscure times.
DHL are utterly amazing. was walking home from 6form 2 days ago and just opened door as the van pulled up :D
ive used parcel force once and they said between 7 and 5.. it came at half 6

I order a game and it got delivered with parcel force, i found it next to my mums car a few days later so i reported it not delivered and got my money back and kept the game cause no one had signed for it :) most of their workers aren't too bright.

Exactly, the workers are stupid really.. and their 'policy' states they drop it off at a nearby post office.

The Chinese shipping company "EMS" are by far the worst i've ever come across, they literally don't update their tracking information at all.
Whenever i'm trading, buying or selling i always use DHL as a rule, they're by far the best - they arrive when they say they will, their support is immense, they're cheap, quick and reliable. TNT is also relatively good, i've had something delivered by them once just before Christmas, the only thing that let them down was that they're employee who came to the door looked like a drug user LOL.

They're pretty good, ever time Ive used them my delivery has always come when it should have. :)
DHL are crap everytime something gets sent through them they post a letter sayin couldnt reach you please call to arrange a pick up from your local DHL warehouse.
Royal mail is easiest and most convenient so i will always use them never had any problems with them and sold like 600+ items through amazon and ebay

I never had that problem with DHL, only got a card through my door when I wasn't in.
Meh, up in Scotland most of the couriers and the posties are running a little slow recently, i ordered a case for my iphone 4 on the 30th of december and it still has not been delivered. I just got a CD from play.com that i ordered a week and a half ago!
The home delivery people went into my back garden, tried the conservatory door, realised it was open so left the parcel inside that door. DHL's home deliery thing where they get people close to you to pick up / deliver things to you is good coz they just keep popping round to see if you're in.

Sent something via Royal Mail the very day I posted that and the tracking thing still says the item 'is being progressed through our network for delivery'. I paid for 1st class recorded for god sake, why the hell hasn't it even left their 'network' yet? Unless they just don't feel like updating their tracking system. What a joke.

Yeah DHL & Parcel Force have never been a problem for me but Royal Mail are awful. My mum also had a problem with Royal Mail so it goes to show that their not very consistent.
