Hello,
Ive been permed on Habbo a few days ago, and im gonna be honest, Ive never scammed on Habbo, and would never scam in real. Well the day before I was playing habbo, all was fine, the next day I check I get the following reason: You have been banned! The reason for the ban is "Scamming Ban: Permanent (id: 1684715)". The ban will expire at 6/8/22 9:38 PM Eastern Time.

I personally think someone reported me or I dont know what happend here. I had a lot of stuff on, few goldbars, and it is actually disappointing, as no proof is there and I never really have scammed. If I would have scammed I would never post this here or be crying to get unbanned. What do you guys think this could be for? And why?

Thanks guys

I dealt with my fair share of unfair bans on Habbo as well. Off the top of my head, I remember being banned for 24 hours for telling my cousin to log onto MSN; It was never removed from my offences, even though it was clear we were related (we shared the same last name on our registrations, and even registered on the same computer at my Grandmother's way back in 2003). The reason given was 'asking for personal information,' even though I never asked for an address, simply told him to get on. We were also in a completely empty room, so it would seem that mods have a bad habit of eavesdropping on private conversations even without a report being made.

I suppose you could use the help tool (if that even still exists, I haven't logged onto Habbo since having my account hacked a few years ago) and ask what evidence they have. Unfortunately, because of their terms & conditions they don't *have* to share it with you since they still own the account and everything on it, but it's worth a shot. Perhaps a second look at your account will make them reconsider.

Hello dude,
thanks for your reply. I have appealed, but its just taking so long. I have appealed for over week now, but the customer service is a tad too slow, even tho i understand there are many requests. Maybe I did somehting wrong, but didnt realise. I just want the exact reason if theres one, but I can assure that I never scammed anyone. Not even a duck

Yeah, they do tend to take awhile.. And even longer if you're on hotmail.
Try and drop a pm to Redtiz... Thats if she doesn't read this thread :D

As Fiendly has suggested, try Contacting Redtiz on the forum shes on here pretty often;

but to put it bluntly, dont lie to her she always finds out.

Sorry to say this but I don't think that you can get the account back easily. There's not much you can do about it apart from contacting Habbo through email or something. I don't think Habbo manage their bans and function very well if they banned you without sufficient proof apart from just seeing you do particular things. They probably banned you because they expected or suspected you to scam when you didn't.

Firstly, have you noticed Redtiz says that the Moderators only get a small shot of chat so they have to go off what they see, so I have no idea how that results in a ban.

Are you sure you didn't get hacked during the duration you was offline? Maybe they got the wrong account? However that shouldn't mean you should get banned.

The appeal will take about 2 weeks at least.

Good luck with getting your account back.

I have been banned before, and I was unbanned twice.
I admit one of them was my fault.
Anyway, good luck, may we see your appeal?

look at some of the previous threads. redtiz says mods wouldnt know if it was a joke or not. however, i would class it as false advertising not scamming as you took no furni.

I can only assume one of the ape faced moderators who lack any motor skills must of slammed their repugnant face on their filth ridden keyboard and accidentally banned you. The best you can do is poke redtiz on here, or email Habbo, but you'd be lucky to get a quick response as they are very lousy when it comes to communicating with their paying customers within an acceptable time frame. When they do unban you, complain and state that they shouldn't ban anyone with insufficient proof and that they should make an effort when it comes to getting back to you and any other customers as soon as possible.

Surely you should have appealed as it was a misunderstanding?

Also, I got unpermed for scamming however this was almost two years ago so good luck.

Ok guys, I think I know what happend here.

About 2 weeks or so, one of my friends got hacked. I was on normally, followed him, he traded me 10 holy walls, I accepted, didn't know he was hacked and after a day he told me on msn. After a week or so I got banned. What are your thoughts? Why would they ban me for this?

Ok, so for example, if i get traded something, and the item is stolen, do I still get permed? This is so weird..

Common sense would suggest that no, you shouldn't be in trouble. Contact Habbo and tell your friend to email them telling them that you did not assist in scamming him. If they don't unban you, relish the thought that your brain is properly developed unlike their puny neanderthal brains.

Really pleased Habbox and it's members can help other members members positively in this way. It certainly has made a difference. Congrats! Hope you stay with us. :D

Wait so you got it unban because you got your friend to prove you didn't assist in the scamming? If so, did you and your friend both have to send the email? Because my friend is also in the same problem.

No, redtiz sent them a email, and they replied to me. i jsut had to prove that I really own the account.

Their reply:
Hello,

Thank you for contacting Habbo.

On further consideration, we've decided to unban your account. The reason for your ban was receiving items taken from an account without the owners authorisation. I accept that this was unknown to you which is why I am removing the ban.

Yours,

Habbo.com Customer Support

And great community Catsy :)

receiving items taken from an account without the owners authorisation

This technically means Falling Furni scams aren't against Habbos Rules because you've had the owners authorization for their furni as they're paying to stay or whatever.

I'm fairly certain they're authorising their use as they're paying. Both account holders are the actual account holders so they're authorised to trade furni for a game. I think that's what you mean :)
