View Full Version : Gadget Insurance
Hey, I am looking to insure a couple of my gadgets but I am not sure where to go. I am looking to insure:
- My Apple iPhone 4
- My HP Compaq Laptop
With my iPhone I am on a contract with t mobile but the insurance there has very bad reviews so I do not want to go with them, it is likely I am going to insure my laptop with HP but I don't know where to get the best price and where to search, the same goes with my iPhone 4.
Does anyone know any good websites or shops and what do you recommend I do? Also, if you have a few of your gadgets insured already, where did you get your insurance?
+Rep for good answers and please help as much as you can! :D

for your iphone, ask your parents if they have mobile phone insurance with their bank account. my mum does so my iphone, her iphone and my sisters blackberry are all insured. and it's included/free - so it's worth a check

What do you mean with their bank?

I checked this out this morning, looked at the reviews and crossed off the website that second. If you lose your phone they give you a second hand one so it is not worth it, but before all that they have to accept your claim!

I'm not with them so I'm unsure if I can get insurance included with my account, I will check on Monday as there is nothing about it on their website

Well.. yeah, that's what insurance companies do, they have to look at your claim, decide to accept it or not, if they do, they'll give you the value of the phone you lost.

you probably won't get it with your account. that's why i said your parents because they'll have more money going in and out than you, so they'd probably have a superior account type to ourselves. but yeah, it's deffo worth a check as my mum didn't know she had mobile insurance with her account until i went on their website and mentioned it to her :P

Ahh right! I've mentioned it to my Dad so he says next time he is near his bank he will check :)
Anyone else got any more information or advice on this?

Who is your current house insurance provider?
Sometimes it can be covered under that
