Just thought I should say well done. HabboxForum seems to be getting more and more active - over 100 users online. This is brilliant to see :)

That is to be expected since many people were on holiday :P

-waits for someone to make a pretty graph of usage statistics-

I've noticed this too. Last night the activity thing at the bottom of the forum said we have 201 users online and i think about 100 of them were members. Not bad :)

We should do a comp or something with the launch of V6 to try and beat the most users online :P It's like 800+ would be well hard.

About time it increased. Roughly this time four years ago, back in the day when Misawa was staff, VIP members still had their own subforums, Smiddy was king and HabboxLive DJs played Bon Jovi, there were 174 members online.

Oh how the times have changed.

I miss the Technology section being the king of all non-habbo and non-everythingremaining sections.

It's always been like that, a lot of people have always used our forums just to read news/gossip etc - not everyone has to sign up, if they want to sign up and post, they will :) A proportion of guests are spiders from search engines too.

Quick view of hxf stats over the last year:

View of habbox.com stats:

View of habboxlive.com stats:

A general rise over the summer/christmas period is expected as the stats (especially hxf ones) show. What would be more interesting is to see how the stats compare over the last 5 years or so. None the less, a promising sign of improvement. Well done to all those involved :).

Hate to pick on HxL but those December stats are shocking :O

Not HxL's fault mind, but can't believe they are as low as they are.

You need to keep in mind that to listen to the radio, you don't have to visit Hxl's website. Both the forum and the site have a player you can tune from.

MAD is right there Dom, but can you think of an argument those stats would show support to? ;)

Of course I can, and believe me if the right changes are not made, those stats will certainly help prove the point!

Good, I think habbo has also seen more users recently too, which in turn helped it's fansites.

Generally right, but it's interesting that activity spikes in August, I think it's the Summer Spectacular effect as the July > August rise is shown on both Habbox and HabboxForum, and the Habbox.com graph suggests that there's more holdover for regular users. It's also notable that after the spike, even though numbers go back down, they're higher than they were before which suggests long-term holdover and overall rise in hits.

Would be really interesting to see a 2-3 year graph, would be far more conclusive than assumptions based on a one year but we do with what we have. I believe the Awstats could provide a multiyear graph though.

I am not going to talk about the site or radio stats as I don't know enough about them but as far as the forum is concerned I have done a little research.

Whilst it interesting I am not sure how relevant the position was 2/3 or even 5years ago as there has been massive changes with Habbo which has undergone it's own recession cutting exercise with the merge. Whilst they used to have a handful of official fansites they have a long list now who are no longer called 'official'.

http://www.habbo.com/community/fansites

Since we are moving away from having a small list of Official Fansites, towards a long list of Fansites, we will no longer be able to endorse Fansites with articles and prizes.

The market is extremely competitive with 17 fansites on the list so it not an easy task to get them to come to Habbox. Compared with the stats of the other comparable sites, which I believe, is a better measure of it's current popularity it looks to me that we are more than holding our own.

Obviously there is always room for improvement but there does seem to be a genuine steady progression. There will always be peaks at holiday times. From a non analytical what has stood out for me in recent times is the rise in international members. Well done all involved is what I say! :D

This seems very positive for the forum and it will be great to have, hopefully, a really strong Runescape section, again.
