Would you ever give blood?

If you're 17+ have you given blood? if not why?
If you're under 17, would you when you're old enough?

If you wouldn't why not? Is it just the needles putting you off?

no, i haven't and never will. i would pass out so quickly just from getting myself worked up about it. i actually don't mind needles that much but i don't like having fluids injected or taken out of my body. just the idea of giving blood disgusts me. i also have a pretty weak stomach, so i don't think i'd make it through without vomiting. its not even the actual vision or feeling necessarily that gets me worked up, it's the anxiety and the worrying beforehand. i tend to create scenes and pictures in my head of what's going to happen and they're often worse than the real thin, but i still get too nervous :P

Yes, I will give blood. 'Cause maybe one day JB will be in the UK and need a blood transfusion and he will have my blood inside him, hopefully. :D <3

Yeah I'll definitely give blood when I'm 17. I'm not the biggest fan of needles but a few months ago I had to have a blood test and the lady took 4 tubes of blood out of me. Didn't hurt as much as I thought it would and I can face the pain again :D

I would if they weren't so ridiculous with their rules as its just as easy for straigiht people to get aids as gay people. its discrimination

Haven't done the 'act/s' and don't ever plan to, so I think I qualify under the rules.

I'll probably find out more about it soon, should do it really - i'd rely on others if I was ever in need of a blood transfusion.

I work for the NHS and so many people benefit from them its unreal. It only takes a short moment of your time and is only a small scratch :)
