Surely this should have been posted? A December one wasn't posted either! Bit of a let down to people who enjoy entering.

Myke was speaking about one the other day, so I am sure it is on his to-do list. The last one was extended so thats probably why there wasn't a december one

Yeah the Christmas one was extended as there wasn't very many entries for it so that'll be why there wasn't a December one - I thought there was though :o I'm pretty sure like Jess said he was talking about one the other day so I'm sure you'll see it popping up soon :o

Thanks for your feedback, Reniorx.

The past few competitions have had very little entries and therefore I've been devising a plan to make the competition publicised more and get some more entries.

Until then I'm afraid it's had to have been put on hold.

Don't worry it'll be back soon though!! :)

Seems very sensible, glad you've acted upon it :)

Maybe that was the winner because there weren't any better entries? :P

I do agree it needs a lot of advertising to get some good entries for it because there are some really good graphics people on the forum =]

Inseriousity.

Kudos to the graphics department for going the extra mile and doing something like this. :D

It was the best entry - and I was speaking tto alex the other day telling him to do a graphics competition as I was gonna enter the previous one but totally forgot.

maybe if the topics were better, no offence but the halloween one was a bit easy imo..

i still want a graphics competition like now...

maybe do different themes that suit different people each month.

like the haalloween one was more habbo bassed, the design a costume was more habbo based
and the autumn scenee (LOL) one was more imaginative and stuff.

The graphics community on the forum isn't that big any more like it used to be. It's hard for Myke to gage the talent and the amount of entries a harder theme is going to get. This monthly competition has only been going for three now I think so it's still going to be some time before the themes get more challenging.

The only reason it we extened through decemeber is because it was a chrismas theme

It wasn't.
It was an Autumn scene that could go to a Winter scene.

OT:

Is there a banner for the Graphics Competition on the main site? Maybe there should be one if not.
Also I do understand making them harder may not appeal to some people but they would appeal to me and I'm sure others would feel the same.
If they are a bit harder than we are comfortable then maybe, just maybe it will improve our skills in graphics.
Why not do a thread called Monthly Graphic Competition Ideas or something. It will show you what the members would like to see.

The amount of graphics-savvy people on the forum has severely reduced since the old days and the amount of entries (and quality) the competitions recieve will speak for themselves. If there's less and less people entering the quality is deteriorating, then why hold one?

As Alex said, nice to see it being acted upon :)

Imo a lot more people have started to join habbox, maybe see if they have the urge to have a go at the competition.

Or at least the competitions department should do a graphics competition (not spread the word).

Inseriousity.

We only had 1 this month but the competitions department do a few graphics competitions but they certainly will not be taking over. 1-3 is enough imo :)

Could always do a beginners one and an advanced one :') maybe each month one of the official graphics designers could choose the task etc like Hxhds staff host the quiz :')

I like the difficulty idea, but would it improve the entries? :P.
