I guess Teenage Lives will stop, but you could always go back and read the original series 5 if you want to round it off.
Thanks and good luck anyway, I guess...

Oh my god what's happening to Habbox lately are we going back to the controversial ways of 07/08? Yes please!!! What's this article that he posted about
It's a shame he made an exit the way he did as he was an extremely talented journalist. It's a true shame and I wish you luck Joey.

Don't know exactly what was in the article but I've seen people get fired for some pretty silly reasons. You were a great asset to Habbox, don't lose your spark and I hope I see your work in the future :)

Maybe a thanks and goodbye would have been nice as well. I think people misunderstood you as it looked a bit negative and he was very good at what he did. I don't think anybody is up to the standard of a journalist on the forum and so whilst a subjective comment it was the way they felt. :)
I am going to disagree and say that a journalist is someone who collects and presents information about current affairs, which is what Joey did in the news department I am sure.

I'll admit a mistake in the fact that I quoted the "talent" part when my intention was to highlight the mention of journalism. I have no qualms with him, he's a capable writer.
On a side note, I am a working journalist. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify because the word gets thrown around a lot.

Bye Joey, you're probably one of the oldest staff members that was still involved with Hx at all, and one of the few I'd always respected.
I assumed this was why you went out of your way to point out that he isn't a journalist, as you are one yourself.
It did seem a sort of "i'm the only journalist on here" big head remark, from my point of view.

Nope, I just annoyed when people throw the word around and use it incorrectly.

Funny to see Hectix saying you 'let yourself down' in this thread. Apparently he's incapable of taking any constructive criticism whatsoever. Actually, it's management who let themselves down, since they're no longer the most visited Habbo fansite (I'm not positive on this fact, but Alkaz told me himself that this is the case prior to his resignation). Habbox had a golden ticket to the top spot, but apparently they let themselves get beat by ClubHabbo who used to advertise on these very forums to steal members? Lmao.
I recently got my hands on a copy of the original article, and have to agree 100% with Joey. Habbox is about sucking up now, not how well you do your job. It's been that way for years though, unfortunately. Apart from Jess, I recognize absolutely no one on the manager list - though several staff who should have been there by this point.
Way to emo out, Hx. How the mighty have fallen. Huge props to Joey for speaking his mind, something 95% of the staff here will never do even though they know how... screwed up, for lack of an unfiltered term, the system is. He deserves a medal instead of a ban.

I wish you the best of luck, and hope you can be the ones to bring Habbox back to its former glory.

I have to agree with you on the point the Club Habbo is visited more these days, as it is very true.
They have more Radio Listeners, more posts daily on the forum. And thats what everyone speaks about. Hopefully Hx will get back to the top, I personally have my own opinion to why we have lost alot of our members, but I do not wish to get banned lol.

I am not sure where you get your facts or figures from but as far as the forum is concerned
Habbox is fine.

They do? :S Maybe you should check more carefully when we're getting 110 on weekends and clubhabbo are struggling to get over 40. The same during the week when we're hitting 80 and they're struggling to get 40 as well. Have a look at the stats before making up stuff like that

Correct, HabboxLive has been doing fantastic recently. The listeners have been higher as ever and I can't really see ClubHabbo beating that any time soon, I went on the site last night and they only had 4.

If we're changing this to a clubhabbo/habbox comparison thread then it's also worth noting the amount of users online the forums on each site. A couple of days ago we hit 130 members online, which is a huge amount and one that had not been reached for many, many months. I see Clubhabbo struggle to get 60 members online at peak times on occasions now.
I think It's unfair to make these comparisons though, since fansites do unfortunately go through bad patches. Personally I feel that many of the departments at Habbox are doing extremely well at the moment. We have Habboxlive back to achieving over 100 listeners, and the Events department have been filling most hourly slots in the GMT timezone with a higher average amount of events than as been had in absolutely ages.
I think sometimes having a negative view on things can just create a bad atmousphere, when really we should take these things and turn them into something positive. Personally I feel Habbox is improving in some areas, and of course there will be areas we can still improve on. As it stands I personally feel that Habbox is in a better position that clubhabbo at this moment in time, however of course it's been a yoyo between the two in the past.
In regards to this thread issue, there will always be different opinions on how things are ran. As managers we do what's best for Habbox, and this is shown through the way we listen to the community, start up new events/competitions with the community in mind- and work together as a team to ensure the community gets a good experience whilst here. Stats for february aren't normally a pretty picture with it being a fairly quiet month on average, however the stats this month so far haven't been too bad at all. The valentines ball was a massive success with all areas of our sites getting huge promotion and it was managed superbly and was a very memorable event in my opinion.
With the introduction of V6, it gives us a real chance to promote the main area of Habbox in terms of our site/content, and as managers we are and will do our best to see that it's used wisely to promote and cater for the needs of everyone. People will always have different opinions on how things are going I understand, but sometimes you need to offer it as constructive feedback which can then be worked on, rather than personally insulting people who put in a hell of a lot of time and effort for nothing to see this site succeed.

This is the case indeed, HxL was being beaten in October/ November- but has rebounded and is strongly, now better than any radio station on the English speaking hotel and I can only view the situation getting better and better. So it really is a round to recovery, as has been with a fantastic new system and a dedicated team of wonderful DJs.
