I suggest... a clubhabbo and habbox alliance. Think about it. With all this competing for listeners and users everyone forgets that after all we are just teenagers doing something fun . I think we should like have joint events and perhaps even a staff swap. ( A news reporter swaps jobs with a ch news reporter for a week.)
It would be a blast.:D
I think there was something similar a long time ago when Habbo actually cared about fansites, where the fansites worked together, not really sure though?
It sounds good, but then we might lose people if they prefer CH! :P
+ I think it would become something where we all have secret agendas to like make them want to work here or something

I wouldn't participate in this Staff Swap. I chose to become staff at Habbox, not ClubHabbo. Two different fansites and whilst it would be doing, we're in theory competing. We have done ClubHabbo v Habbox events in the past and I'm sure Martin as the new CAGM would be keen on doing one of these in the future (although the behaviour from the representatives was rather awful for ClubHabbo). Would be nice to work with them but staff swap would be a no from me.
We have tried to do events with other fansites before things like the winter olympics but from what I gathered from Roxy who organised it the other fansite staff aren't fantastic with their behaviour and just make things difficult in general. Might be worth doing it with smaller fansites.

I think that their is maybe a sense of independence and conflict between sites. Not because they want to just do better than each other it's because of the way they function. Not all sites function the same way in every department and for the sites to come together i'm guessing it would require a lot of work and time. The swapping idea would also be slightly annoying in some aspects. I feel that Habbox is doing so much better than Club Habbo no offence. Leave it the way it is?

I think it'd be nice for a little event, but it depends which fansite, and how long.
with a bigger fansite like ch it'd be a threat to habbox, but a different, smaller one would be cool.

I think it's a tricky area really. The aim of us as fansites is to gain members, entertain our members and improve our stats etc and we are all unique, have different members and I think people choose a particular fansite for a reason.
As Jin said something similar to this was tried last year (I went to the events also) and there was unfortunately quite a few arguments and I don't think much was achieved of the idea after such a huge amount of work went into it.
However, I do believe that it is nice sometimes for crossover events to happen. I certainly don't think we should go swapping around our staff- that would cause endless problems, however there is certainly potential for us to work with some fansites with in client events.
This being said, Habbox will be taking part in a big promotion of events soon which will see a whole bunch of different fansites taking part which will create a 'Fansite takeover' kind of feel on Habbo again with many fansites really increasing their visibility onHabbo. This event will last a couple of days and a large number of fansites are taking part.I think things like this enable a bit of teamwork/communication however working too closely can sometimes lead to conflict. I won't go into too much detail now, but look out for something big at the beginning of March. ;)

Is that unofficial? Or were you all contacted by habbo?

Sounds very interesting, looking forward to hearing more about this :)
As wiizzz asked, is this a habbo organised thing or is it unofficial?

Lol dream on if it's a Habbo thing, we do these things ourselves nowadays.
LMAO. Who is setting it up? Who initiated contact between the fansites?

You will find out more details nearer the time. It's an external event in which Habbox and many other fansites are taking part in. :)

I'm with Alex on this one, I chose here as home, not ClubHabbo. I wouldn't be very happy being associated sith the likes of CH. It just strikes me as the younger brother of Habbox.

in the sense ClubHabbo takes Habbox's hand-me-downs and unwanted toys?
I can confirm/say that ClubHabbo has jotted down a Habbox- ClubHabbo fansite event in Feb.. Otherwise, I can't see the rest of your points happening in current time.

They'll just try steal each others listeners users and so fourth.
I chose this fansite because I liked some of the staff members, and had friends who used this forum.
A co-operation changes nothing. If anything it risks the site with more users losing them to a fansite with fewer users.

Er no...lets not.
Firstly - Staff swap...HABBOX staff are HABBOX staff for a reason. They earned the job, and they WANT to be here. CLUBHABBO staff are CLUBHABBO staff for a reason. It MAY work with (no offense intended) smaller departments such as graphics etc. - sharing graphics and what not - maybe rare values (if Clubhabbo got them..) sharing their values and what not...but it WOULD NOT work with HabboxLive.
I am actually offended that you've suggested giving away a job I had to work hard for - to someone who may be completely substandard. Tonnes of people WANT to be Habbox DJs - but how many are...30? I am not saying Clubhabbo is bad, but the standard of Clubhabbo and the standard of Habbox is completely different, and in my opinion, Habbox DJs are of a higher standard - so that would actually completely destroy HabboxLive - with less good DJs (if they were swapping) and raise up Clubhabbo - because they had all the good habbox DJs.
Big "fansite events" are not a new idea...I think a couple of years back Habbo did a huge competition for official fansites to earn points in competitons etc. Just after I joined habbo - it was what got me into fansites. Fansites playing against each other would be fine - maybe running joint events on occasions - fine, but I don't think having combined events will work EVERY DAY...
And basically, as others have said, it would just become a bitter competition. What started out as a joint thing may become two bitter rivals - using an example:
Everton football club - The coach and players joined together to form Everton, but fell out and the team moved to a new stadium and left the coach without a team. He started up Liverpool and they became bitter rivals, always vying to win supporters and matches.
That's how it would be - it may start of nice and jolly, but it would soon break up and just become a match of who could get the most listeners/forum users/events participators etc.
Inseriousity.

Personally I think fansites should come together more. Habbo are not doing any of them any favours and it'd be a much bigger driving force to advertise as two or three than advertise as one.
I also think a staff swap is a funny idea and think people are overexaggerating. It wouldn't be the end of the world if staff swapped for a week. The staff would probably be under so much red tape from the inevitable rules to avoid trouble that they probably just get a week off! And it'd be optional, not like you'd be forced over to another fansite!
There'll always be that inner competition that makes fansites want to do better than one another and that's natural really, nothing will change that but users decide which fansite they want to go to. The same way they do now whether fansites work together or not.
