Basically, someone stole my HTC Legend tonight.

Found it pretty soon afterwards, hidden under a wheelie bin.

But it worried me. I have no insurance on it, cos I can't afford it. I know there are apps like Find My iPhone for Android, but want to know which is best for finding, disabling, and retrieving my phone should it fall into thieving hands again

Any good apps for this on the Android Market?

First result when I googled it, seems pretty good actually, definitely worth reading if you haven't already.

Edit: Saw this in the comments too, would be great if used in conjunction with Tasker - http://www.xda-developers.com/android/protect-your-android-investment-with-theftalarm/

Thanks, it may cost about £4-5 to do, but its better than £300 for a new Legend. It's shaken me, as I use that phone for everything.

If someone with half a brain actually stole your phone they would reset to factory settings making all of theses apps pointless :S

Most people stupid enough to steal something usually have less than a half a brain..

This person had less than half a brain. Tried to turn off my phone, turning silent off and the screen brightness up, catching TweetDeck, and taking the back cover off... :S
