College - BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care?

Anyone done this course before? Thinking of signing up for it for college to start in September, but I want to know what everyone else thinks about it.

I want to be a male midwife when I get out of university.

They do national diplomas in h&s care? and i thought to do things within medical you had to take a-levels?
