Probably later in the year, apparently it's 30 episodes because of how it has been filmed this time.

why?

+i wish ronan and jonah would kiss and make up. literally.

I wish Jess would kiss and make up by herself.

Yeah I heard about the 30 episodes. Something like it's in 2 parts 10 in the first and 20 in the second due to weather conditions??

I think series 7 was originally 10 episodes long, but they decided to extend it.

Anyway, dont want Cesca to leave, she's a great character. :(

The ending was pretty good for waterloo road. I hate how characters change all the time, it wouldn't be so bad if character didn't disappear half way through series without a mention. I swear the characters jump to different years all the time. So much of it annoys me but its still my one of my favourite things on tv

Some good news that Ive just found on google.

Robson Green, who has joined the programme in the role of newcomer Rob Scotcher, recently set tongues wagging among fans by tweeting that Waterloo Road will return to BBC One on May 4. That would mean the show coming back less than a month after last night's series six finale.

A BBC spokesperson yesterday told DS that a return date for Waterloo Road has not yet been finalised, but confirmed that the show will be back "at some point in the spring", meaning that fans won't have to wait until autumn for the next series.

I really hope it is back next month. Can't wait! :D

if you're of a certain level WLR has always been obvious you know what is going to happen and it happens but in a way that is why it's so good because so many people keep watching yet i know every series what will happen because it's predicatble.

Gibs960

In the first/second series was it predictable that that teacher would get stabbed? No. This series was it obvious Kyle would dance? Yes.

I used to look forward to watching it but now I'd prefer to spend the hour on Facebook and HxF.

No but it was obviously tom would leave lorna for izzy and then it was obvious lorna would come back and then something tragic would happen to izzy just as she'd got back with tom. This series it was obvious kyle would dance because that's his career however his charecter wasn't the dance he's a bad boy he dances once and flipped once. It's obviously not all predictable however when the Johnah and cesca story line got going it moved really fast and was predictable.

Chris

redtom
09-04-2011, 11:07 PM
They will probably have half a series when he's in a chair and the school will go OTT on making it disabled friendly, but in the end he will walk again. Having one of the main characters suddenly become permanently disabled has nearly always fail in soaps.

That's a bit unfair :P Obviously a new show wouldn't be too predictable until you learn the characteristics :P

I didn't predict it either. I was expecting Denzel to do something. Heck, we all saw Kyle there with him and two teachers, Finn and Sam were hidden away in the adverts so it was a bit of a suprise.

The first thing my mum said when She said Denzil walking across was "I bet Finn tries to save him and then he falls".
It was just really obvious, and it kinda ruined the emotion when Finn was talking as if nothing had happened 10 minutes after he'd just been paralysed.

They never said he was paralysed, just he could be. That wouldn't have necessarily been straight after, would have been a couple of hours most likely and he probably didnt require sugery and was dosed up on drugs. That was exactly how I was like when I first woke from my operation so.

Probably because it introduced the newest amount of characters. I know what you mean. It's also like its kind of 2 schools and the show should have been called waterloo fosters.

I do agree in some ways. I think Season 5 was in some ways a bit more 'real' like with Karen excluding pupils and acting more like a proper Headteacher. As usually the Head, is involved in major turmoil e.g. Rachel being a Prostitute etc. So not much really happened. I think it needs to be more unrealistic and we need some more controversial scenes like the gun scene and even the science alcohol plot. I don't like Chris either, he's to perfect and boring in my eyes.

Hopefully we'll get some Steph like teachers in the next season, and it'll return to its old style. I don't think it was that bad and hopefully they'll produce some more series' in the end :P

Did anybody else here watch Waterloo Road Reunited?

He will be fine within two weeks.

They managed to make all the props and learn all the lines for an entire school production in two weeks, after all.

Waterloo Roads returns May 4th (keeping its Wednesday slot)

Brief Spoiler from the BBC (with source)
A new term at Waterloo Road gets off to a noisy start when Karen arrives to discover the alarm going off and her new site manager, Rob Scotcher, taking a laid-back approach to the problem. When a Year 12 pupil abandons and then claims her baby, Karen is concerned for the girl, her child and the dark secret she's keeping.

New teachers Eleanor Chaudry and Daniel Chalk want to make a good impression, but the kids aren't going to give them an easy ride. "Chalky" is instantly marked out as a soft target, while Ms Chaudry's strict rules land Sambuca Kelly in the "cooler". What Eleanor sees as unruly behaviour in Sambuca is just a personality clash according to Tom, but her erratic behaviour gives cause for concern.

Meanwhile, new boy Aiden Scotcher has caught the eye of Jess – but it's her friend Vicki who's got his attention.

I still find the Jonah Chesca storyline rubbish. I don't believe anyone in that situation could be so stupid to, 1) Kiss in the place where you don't want to get found out and be half undressed, 2) Carry on meeting each other when people are suspicious and 3) Just generally not being subtle :S

Nice series with Bex's story though :D
