biting tongue at night

i have this REALLY nasty habit of biting my tongue when i sleep and it's gotten REALLY bad, especially last night... any advice? :/

it's never really this bad, but it hurts like hell right now. this is the worst it's ever looked probably.
it's on both sides but the right side is the worse of the two

second that happened to me and you can't do ANYTHING about it
i tried putting bonjela on it but i don't think youre meant to do that

i'll sleep it off tonight and go to health services tomorrow if it's still bad. maybe i can get like a retainer thing or something, idk, all i know is it hurts like a *****

If it's been happening for a while then I don't see any reason why you can't be given a mouth guard / shield to wear when you're asleep :P

omg i love your teeth

but why not try one of those gum protector things? they go over your teeth, usually to stop people grindiong their teeth but i suppose it could stop you biting your tongue?? go to your dentist or try finising one online

My aunty had this, it should go away eventually but look on the pluss side, like her at the end u shud have some pretty cool marks on ur tounge

One of my cousins do this. I think you should go and visit your dentist and they will give you something to wear at night which will protect your young and limit the damage.
