We usually have a Subaru legacy for my dads car - 2.0 turbo desiel 4 wheel drive - that's what my dad usually drives but on Friday night be came home with a 300bhp Subaru Imperza RWX STI 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. By god it's fast we whent down a "privite road" wink wink, only a mile long got up to 130mph it's like a rocket. Not the fastest car I've been in. My dad always brings home sports cars to test drive about 2 weeks ago he came home in a Lamborghini. So what you think?

They accelerate like rally cars, and like rally cars, they don't have it at the top end. I like them although I've been in faster, like you my dad comes home in all sorts because of his job, the V10 R8 being my favourite.

i'm not happy with subaru at this point so i'm going to say it sucks regardless of how fast it goes.

The newer version isn't a hatchback like the '07 versions. The '10 is a sedan I believe. :P

i think you'll find the older versions are the saloons and the newer ones are the hatchbacks. oh well

the newest version can be bought as a hatchback or a sedan. :P

i stand corrected. new saloon looks terrible though, the best shape impreza was the original 22b or the hawkeye IMO.

I find all new Subaru's are big and ugly. I had a previous generation Outback and I loved it but I took it home since then the 3L H6 developed a knock in the engine that hasn't produced any codes but doesn't sound healthy. I'm not to impressed seeing as it's a 2007 with less than 70k on it. I looked at a new style Outback and it's a boat, the thing is huge and that's the only wagon they sell (they used to sell the Legacy wagons over here but they stopped).

As a personal car my dad drives the Subaru legacy (newest one) and it is massive! But a nice and big car inside it's also pretty fast for it's size. My dad calls it a "Big Beefey Smoker" witch I Spose it is.

They have a habbit of blowing up too, my dad's friend has two (One after the other). He only had the '03 one for a year, and his '97 for like 5 I think. Both too expensive to repair. Personally I like the hatchback version, though the saloon reminds me of a chipmunk with it's unappealing rear end.

yup that's the one I said, the hawkeye :) I'm not too keen on the bugeye one, especially the ones with the 'morette' style headlights.

They are a high performance, but also a high maintenance engine, pretty sure the service intervals are only 4,500 miles. You can buy the older ones pretty cheap but they've usually been owned by some *** who's put lexus lights on and a cheap backbox, so it sounds terrible and isn't timed properly. I do 'like' the hatchback model but IMO it's 'elders' are the ones to have.

He works at a pretty big garage and is the general manager, so most the time he tests them to make sure there working, or sometimes we live near a delivery so he delivers them aswell. He also swaps his car because it's a big estate, for the bosses cars if they need a big car for some reason.

I am sure his clients love to know their cars are ragged down a road at 130mph :P

couldn't agree more. chavs have a habbit of putting stupid exhausts and revving the nuts off them. then they blow.

Yer lol! Most the time he takes them around the track. The WRX STI was one of his bosses cars, so it's not too bad. Lol.
