What with the (imminent) revival of free trade in runescape, I think I trader would be beneficial (better than vouches) in spotting trusted sellers/buyers, so I thought I'd make a post here suggesting it =]

If you use it, I'd appreciate some credit this time, unlike the distinct NOTHING I got for suggesting member of the month.

Thanks =D

We can't control what systems former managament used so don't have a go at us for that ;) :P What is iTrader, it would be useful if you explained a lot more as most of us aren't runescape gurus :P

It's a lot like the feedback system on ebay, you can leave positive, neutral or negative feedback after a trade, and your score builds up based on that, so for example say I did 10 trades, and got 10 positive feedbacks, my score would be 10 (100%). If I got 9 Positive and 1 Negative it would be 10 (90%).

If you want to see it in action, check out *Removed*It's a VB Addon btw.

Hmm I like it but it could be easily abused... Unless there was someway to only allow the people you have traded vote.

Pretty sure there is a way to make it link to certain threads, it has to be moderated though, sometimes people will give negative feedback for the lulz, but moderators love extra responsibility, lol.

It depends, some moderation via vB addons can only be done through administration tools and it wouldnt be a priority task for administrators, we'll see what forum management say and perhaps check it out.

I think an itrader would be a fantastic idea, i've seen it on a few vbulletin sites already.

Negative feedback could be moderated the same as negative rep. Just make a thread to report it. :)

Lets keep vouchers, it'd be abused.

iTrader is more difficult to abuse than the vouches system.

iTrader is more difficult to abuse than the vouches system.

It would make your argument much more effective if you explained why :P Especially because many people don't have the familiarity you do with the iTrader system.

Oh, lol.

Well vouches can be edited and such, and you can also get your mates to vouch for you.

With iTrader you have to have completed a trade, and once a feedback is left it can't be changed or modified by you to look positive if it wasn't.

I'm still not completely understanding how this works as I'm not familiar with it so I can't really give you a decision as of yet. Perhaps you could explain it a little further such as how it is added and where abouts it would appear on the Forum?

I'm not sure what the removed site link was, but I know DigitalPoint use iTrader http://forums.digitalpoint.com

It's a page on the user's profile.

Vouches system is actualy a lot easier to abuse than itrader, i don't know why somebody said otherwise? Theres absolutely no restrictions whatsoever with vouches.

However since this isn't a near exclusively trading forum, there will have to be some restrictions.

I have seen iTrader on a few other forums I use.

It basically allows members who trade in items to rate each other based upon a feedback system similar to the way eBay works. You can check members stats for positive and negative feedback. It will require some tweaking I expect to make it effective for Habbox forum but certainly worth considering and much more reliable than vouches I reckon.

Surprised at this response!

I think iTrader would be a good idea, and is a superb system when used and moderated correctly. A certain "habbo black market" uses it, and it really is fantastic to know how safe someone is.

I am going to speak to Jin about the possible implementation of this as I think it would be quite beneficial :)

Yeh if you add it, it would make it a hell of alot easier, vouches to me mean nothing on rs trades as freetrade was banned over 2 year ago so vouches are 2 years old and people change in that time. iTrader is easy to use and its pretty good because on ebay some people look at feedback before buying so yano someone saying "your safe" from 2 years ago means nothing compared to actual feedback :d
