Hey,

Since the removal of free trade, the amount of users selling and trading RS gold has gone through the roof.

Why not promote this a bit more, and try to get some more members from other fansites posting? There could be a competition to win a few million (1million being worth about 50c). I am sure a few of us would be happy to give the prize - or at least contribute to it. I just think it would be a good way to pull in some new users to the forum, and get a wider audience - if it is successful, perhaps have more regular smaller runescape based competitions?

From a few threads that Aiden has made in the Runescape forum I have a feeling you will see runescape competitions coming out prettyy soon!

Aiden is going to be doing a competition on a weekly basis or so he says to promote it, which is fantastic! :)

Aiden, the forum moderator for that section, is currently planning competitions for that section of the site. If I remember correctly, I think the prize was either 5 million/a competition a week or 10 million/a competition a fortnight. Can't remember what was decided in the end. I wish him all the best with it. :)

Perhaps allow them to be more official (Aiden can obviously still run them).

As without being negative, there is no use to Habbox with a competition being hid away in the RS section!

I don't really see how a subforum hidden away would appeal to the RS market anyway so I think having the competition in that section would be more than enough tbh.

This is where I'm on the borderline lol. :P I think what works well with the "Forum Category" competitions is that they are exclusive to that section. It happened whilst Oli, and Jamesy a bit I think, were Forum Manager and meant that it brought activity to that actual section. So yeah, not so sure if it would be a fantastic idea! :)

It is still on an observation period, and I think Nicki will make an evaluation in a week or so about forum category etc. :D!

I think a key reason here is that the number of runescape users on the forum is still a minority. At comps we always aim to please the mass, that's why alot of the competitions are often based around music, media, graphics and your basic competition (match up etc).

However, not being a runescape player myself, I do not know how many users at habbox ACTUALLY play runescape, but a guess would say that its not enough to have recurring official competitions.

But, if these Competitions by Aiden seem to go well, then it could be reconsidered.

I agree with Alex here. I prefer bigger category competitions that can bring people to that section, not just one part of it. I am happy to promote Aiden's competitions like creating a few notices but they aren't official competitions, it's something he wanted to do.

I am keeping an eye on the RuneScape Forum, don't you worry ;)

As Nicola has pointed out, the competitions i will be hosting are in no way, shape or form Official Habboxforum Competitions, we have a speacialist department for that.
'Official' Runescape competitions have never been allowed, for severals reasons of which i won't go in to.

For those of you wondering when the Runescape Competition will be, it will be no later then Friday :).
