Suggestion for articles.

First of all i'd like to take a moment to say that the articles dept have done quite a good job so far, i've seen some very interesting articles on the main site.

Just a small suggestion though to increase awareness of them. I think many more people would read the articles if it was announced in the forums when a new one comes out. In the weeks after articles came out i forgot about them completely, as i don't visit habbox.com as regular as the forums. There is very little mention about them ever on the forums to be honest.

There are some really good articles there and i think it would be great to get more people reading them by announcing on the forums when new articles are written.

Right I agree with some of the aspects, some I don't.

Nuxty usually advertises them a few times on Community Notice Board, I have seen it a few times but I do agree, I think HxL should maybe get a jingle or two advertising HxHD and other aspects of Habbox as well as adverts on Habbox.com

It would hardly spam the forum up. They aren't released that frequently, at max it would just be one announcement every day or two.

I was just looking through the community noticeboard there. As far back as the archive goes (which is the 4th of Jan) i can't see any announcements for articles (unless i somehow managed to miss an announcement while browsing). So there hasn't been any announcements for at least a month.

Well this is where I'm unsure as although I think the limit has gone down, I know the minimum used tobe 3 a week (no idea how much to now though) cos of the announcment.

@Mark: Last year sometime many departments were *this* close to getting jingles on hxl but unfortunately it didn't plan out :(

I suppose a compromise is to possibly do a monthly or weekly announcement in community notice board detailing the new articles for that month/week. That way it don't spam up the forum but it does get advertised a bit more?

I don't think anybody would complain about one post each day spamming up the forum, as that's what it is really just one post a day. Articles aren't usualy made every day anyway, so this won't even be the case.

This was a point that we spoke about previously in a meeting that I had with General Management. Articles will be changing slightly in the ways we promote them. For example I will be posting a weekly round up on the main site page in the form of a news article giving details about some of the articles we have posted during the week and if it is allowed then I would be more than happy to do this on the forum too. I will also make use of Habbox Today to inform our readers about some of the hot articles we have being published!

Also, Weekly Articles will be starting this week. This is basically where a reporter posts the same article weekly with a different focus. For example a weekly television review focusing on a different series/aspect of media each week.

For now thats about it, but do trust me - we are working to ensure articles has the right amount of attention that it deserves as we have some very talented writers producing outstanding content!

I can't really say weekly but I can give you a rough estimate for a monthly amount. At the moment, we have 4 writers, they are each expected to write a minimum of five articles a month. So atleast 20 a month at present. This may be more if they decide to go over their minimum, it may be less if any of them are away.
