What's your view? How do you think the world will end, and when?
Global Warming? Nuclear War? Magnetic shifts? Collisions?
Sun exploding/dying (same thing)

I don't think it will just evolve as it has done for millions of years.
In geography we have for ages studied about the loss of supplies, things are running out and it's only a matter of time until there is none left. There are two ways to look at it, we could have some clever inventor come along who can replicate/clone these sources.. OR we willr un out of these sources and become cannibals. Personally I think someone smart will find a way out of the loss of resources.
I definitely don't think the world will end in 2012, that story is ridiculously stupid

Have to agree with Rosie on this one, evolution always find's a way..

The sun exploding or collision imo.

The absolute end of the world will be when the Sun dies as Nooble said (unless we actually invent something capable of fully destroying the planet) but the end of humanity is probably going to be long before that unless we somehow colonise a younger galaxy and don't kill ourselves/each other. By the time we're likely to be able to do anything like that though I expect we'd have evolved far past what we recognise as humans now

The sun exploding, or nuclear war.

Same, nuclear/sun most probably.
Or aliens...

All I know is the end of the world will be caused by man.
Mankind is the end of mankind. Mankind is mankind's worst enemy

damn i wish i took geography. damn my stubborn 1st year self.

yep
i think how ever we do die, it'll be soon. soon as in the next hundred years (i will live till then!). as for evolution, i don't think there's much more for the world to develop or for humans to evolve to, really. i don't believe it'll be wide-spread disease, war nor a climate thing. i think we'll just slowly kill ourselves and our ability to reproduce, which we're in the process of doing anyway. everyone will die, no-one new will be born, i don't necessarily think it'll be a hard time for the last people but definitely something big will happen. then the whole universe will be peaceful =] as you can see i have a vivid imagination.

Major ice age.
sun exploding.
nuclear war.

To everyone saying the world will end when the sun dies, no it won't. Earth will be destroyed long before the sun actually dies - it will be enguled by the sun during its red giant phase, but all life on Earth will be extinct long before that.
Sun exploding/dying (same thing)
No lol... the sun won't become a supernova.
Inseriousity.

In the year 5 billion. It says so in Doctor Who, keep up :P.
lolol oj. Personally I don't think the world will end and if I think that, that means there's no 'how' for me to answer. :D

That's actually correct considering the sun is predicted to become a red giant in around five billion years.

It'll end/become extremely difficult to live in when we reach the next ice age.

Nuclear war. We are constantly fighting over nothing so yeh thats my hunch!

when the sun turns into a red giant
Actually, if that does happen, all of life on earth would have been destroyed before it reaches that fase as the build up of heat and brightness would destroy majority of the hydrogen on the earth.

we were close to wiping the human race out in one of the wars when people started getting nuclear weapons and didn't use them, since we are here today. I think mankind will kill it's self in one way or another, but when the actual planet itself dies will be the build up to the red giant phase of the sun as we will either be engulfed by the enlarging sun or the sun will be so close that it melts that planet. I'm glad i listened in science now :P
It's pretty probable to happen before the Sun dies imo.
Either
a) humans make the planet uninhabitable essentially destroying it
b) an astronomical disaster such as an asteroid.

1. Killing ourselves by being Nazis
2. Asteroids
3. Mass disease or famine possibly brought on by overpopulation
4. Extreme climate change
5. Eventually a super nova
The world is going to evolve, we will keep damaging our planet with gases and polluting the air. In time this will increase the temperatures which will rise sea levels, crops will not survive and in time we will have nothing to survive on. So this professor guy said on the One Show lol

Our suns not big enough to become a super nova so it will be a white dwarf i think the closest star to us that is most likely to become a super nova will be Betelgeuse which is apparently meant to happen in the next 5/10 years :S i can't remember apparently there was something about it on the news

Yep, any time within the next million or so years. Culd happen in 5 minutes time.

This! Nailed it in one, +rep.
I think a lot of you need to watch bbc 1/bbc 4 shows by Dr Iain Stewart. He's an amazing guy, I've watched all his shows whenever they're on and he explained everything from evolution of earth to what we call global warming. It's been happening for millions upon millions of years. Dear god the ice age was global warming!?! People seem to constantly forget our time's the equivilant of like a day for the earth... we're nothing compared to this old bird we live on.
We'll die off, earth will evolve and who knows?

The earth will evolve? How will it evolve when it get's eaten by the sun ????????????
Anyway when the world ends... probably something like an asteroid or we literally tear the planet apart

Hm, I think a huge thing is going to fall from the sky and kill us all.
Well in my view the human race could be wiped out by a massive asteroid, like it did for the dinosaurs.
As for the world, probably evolution would take course until the sun actually does explode.

Asteroids or something like that.
